Shane Smith at GameCloud writes: "Going in, I thought this would be the ultimate Ninja Turtles game, but it ultimately ended up being the biggest letdown of this year so far. Platinum had all the tools to make a great licensed game, but what we got instead is a hollow and unrewarding gaming experience. Mutants in Manhattan simply isn’t fun. It plays like a mess of colours with random button-bashing, and the addition of uninspired side quests doesn’t help matters. I do admit I like that the art style and voice acting stays faithful to the source material, but I also found myself wishing they had borrowed more ideas from the classic beat ’em up TMNT games I so fondly remember. I wanted to love this game, and to once again play as my favourite green team, but it gets a so many things wrong that it’s difficult to find the positives needed to stick around."
Want to know all the TMNT games released to date? There are many which worked well, and some which didn't. Here's a complete history!
It's sad this comic book turned tabletop roleplaying game never got a good video game.
After the cancellation of Scalebound, Platinum Games seems doomed to collapse. But can they find retribution on the horizon?
'Doomed to collapse'.
Haha. Much drama... they expect people to read this s***?
Activision has pulled five games from digital storefronts, including a pair of Spider-Man games, a pair of TMNT games, and a Fast & Furious game.
Since it's not just Spider-man, it may not be a simple case of franchise rights moving to another publisher. Fast and the Furious and TMNT aren't owned by Marvel/ Disney.
Activision may simply be trying to push away from licensed franchise products
also the 2 worst ninja turtles games ever made, the recent nickelodeon games, atleast those had some of the charm of the tv series and old style tmnt games.
Spider man taking down because of the new one. These taken down because they are utter garbage.
The game suked big time
honestly i dont find the game to be this bad i mean beside the lack of local co-op and the length which is still acceptable i found it to be fun i like fast paced games .
you cant button mash to win unless you play with the easiest difficulty even at those easy settings the bosses will still beat you in 4 hits maximum the game requires strategy and to master its controls .
its not a classic game or the best game ever but its enjoyable and a fun fast paced action game i had the same amount of fun from this game as with the first tmnt game on PS2 that game didnt get the best reviews but i liked it and played it multiple times .
to finish my comment i would say try the games sometimes your taste might be unique to the reviewers and actually enjoy something more than what the review indicates for me this one is way better than out of the shadows i didnt like that one at all .
thanks for reading and happy gaming everyone my favorite turtle is leonardo
