Are the free Xbox Games With Gold titles for June 2016 any good?

Neil writes "If I’m being honest, the hype surrounding the free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles has slightly diminished for me. After the stunning titles delivered with the April scheme, May was a bit of a damp squib.

Now, free games are free games and you’ll never hear me complaining about getting anything for nothing, but as someone who already owns far too many Xbox One titles to mention and the vast majority of those released over the years on Xbox 360, rarely does anything come along that really gets me excited. But hey, enough of the personal pity, I’m here to tell you whether the free Xbox Games With Gold titles for June 2016 are any good."

Goat Simulator is just plain stupid with its 'intentional glitches' but looking forward to The Crew going free.

I still don't get the success behind Goat Simulator. I understand it's a joke but it just doesn't make sense why it took off so much.

Its successful because others have a differing opinion.... Thats the beauty of life....

Well I'm pretty excited for Goat Simulator

TheUndertaker853299d ago

I'm excited for The Crew but not much else personally. I do hope they discount the DLC for the game as well as it may entice me more.

That said my son loves Goat Simulator. Don't get it myself but if my kid enjoys it it's still a victory.

Still, hoping to see Ryse or a Forza go free. Halo MCC or Halo 5 would be welcome too. Shooting for the stars there I think, at least with Halo 5. Forza 5, Horizon, or MCC doesn't seem like such a pipe dream right now.

Ubisoft holds firm in The Crew lawsuit: You don’t own your video games

Plaintiffs bring up a new claim, too, in amended complaint.

Christopher64d ago

***Replying to Ubisoft’s argument that the statute of limitations is up, the plaintiffs responded with their own photos of The Crew’s packaging, which states that the activation code for the game doesn’t expire until 2099; that’s an example of how Ubisoft “implied that [The Crew] would remain playable during this time and long thereafter,” per the amended complaint.***

I really hope this resonates with the judge on the two-sided talk Ubisoft has going on here. You can't have your cake and eat it as well, IMHO.

A few of more mishaps and Ubisoft won’t be around anymore anyway.

Assassin’s Creed and FarCry are keeping them alive right now, and it’s a shame. Tom Clancy games are at a minimum now, The Division had its run, Watch Dogs has come and gone, For Honor was something new-ish, their lacking in New IP, and their older franchises just aren’t getting the right love.

rainbow six siege is doing alright

neutralgamer199264d ago

I hope the judge favors the consumers because it really sucks what thees companies are doing. I am sure these companies will simply change their user agreements to add these new "we don't own the games clauses"

Ubisoft keeps trying so hard to not want my money. I will oblige.

Good thing i haven't bought a Ubisoft game since ac origins, and even that was a mistake 😆

Levii_9263d ago

I haven’t bought a Ubisoft game since 2014 and i don’t plan to change that.

Jingsing63d ago

I haven't bought a Ubisoft game since Watch Dogs 3.

Funny, now Ubisoft doesn't own them anymore either.
