5 Video Game Series That Should Have A Female Protagonist Instead

I can only agree with The Witcher which I somewhat expect to be how they handle the return to the series down the line. I never really cared for Geralt but I was always interested in what Ciri was up to especially with her ability to traverse worlds.

The disparity between Wild Hunt's endings all but rule-out that possibility... too many variables between the state of the world and Ciri's place in it.

I helped Dijkstra take-over Redania, which forced Emyhr Var Emries to return to Nilgaard empty-handed (and led to his eventual assassination), whilst Ciri chose to be a Witcher... Alternatively, saving Roach&Ves leads to the North's defeat, which cements Emir's position and Ciri is 'forced' to become Nilfgaard's Empress (potentially fulfilling Ithlinne's 'White Queen/doom child' prophecy).

Not-to-mention the ending where Ciri dies... you have to be a real dick to her for it to happen, but it's 'canon', so it can't be discounted.

CDPR would need something like Dragon Age Inquisition's 'Keep' app, which did a pretty good job of accounting for choices made in DA1&2... but Wild Hunt didn't have nearly as much variance with regards to the previous games' outcomes - Letho and Sile de Tansarville's 'cameos' were probably the most notable, in-terms of impact - and with 'Blood and Wine' being touted as the 'end' of the story, I just can't see CDPR going down that road.

No game should have had a female character "instead". Every game that had a female character should have had a female character and every game that had a male character should have had a male character. Stories and characters should never be built solely around a gender or a race or a sexuality, and I hate this modern mentality that those are the only things that matter. Geralt is, IMO, a boring character, but the Witcher series wouldn't be the Witcher series without him. Same way Tomb Raider wouldn't be Tomb Raider without Lara Croft.

The title makes it sound more douchey than it really is. That list isn't unreasonable but I disagree. I don't see how making Anya stroud the lead character would make it any different than fenix's son. Generic soldier 357. I don't know who that Star Wars person is.. Alma? Her being the enemy was the only fun part about the game.

I can agree with Ciri, that's a great replacement character. Geralt wasn't a bad character that needed to be replaced though. I can also agree with Alyx, she's the only good character in the entire series. Maybe its a good thing you're not her. That game would be really terrible without her lol.

If I had to fight the patriarchy I would make Chloe the new lead in uncharted instead of *censored. Chloe is a beast, she's about that life. Maybe uncharted would be badass again since it's a woman dropping on dudes. There would be no morally obligated restrictions on chick fights either. Bring on the sexy Brit, I say.

I don't hink we should rule out seeing Ciri again in cyberpunk 2077, anything is possible with the lore/backstory of her character.

No one "should" be female or male characters, but I agree it would be fun to see a gender swap in established franchises as it might bring fresh air to the story. Tomb Raider as a man, Link as a girl etc.
I welcome these articles, it doesn't have to be sjw, or feminist related just because they talk about female leads.
