Emulating games that are new and still on sale is pretty pathetic really. Might as well put up an article about cracked games.

I prefer new games at rrp on their native platform.

@WheatBread

Well said. These guys hate the bad news articles, yet they're the first ones here LOL ;)

wonderfulmonkeyman3304d ago

Agreed.
And the fact that they're making profit off of this through Patreon should make this illegal, if they're planning on releasing it to the public.
Damned pirates need to back the F off; current gen consoles shouldn't be emulated. [and yes, the Wii U IS a current gen console, for anyone who's thinking of claiming otherwise]

Exactly, all I can see is shameless theft. But its ok cus their PC's are uber powerful.

I'm quite proud of my tall blue stack of WiiU games all paid in full to support the devs that made them.
I didn't even know they were making profit, that really is outrageous!

I love my Wii U collection as well. I'll love My Wii U games even more when I'm playing em' in full 1080P, 4K if I get the hardware in the future, when I rip their into ISO format and play them on Cemu.

Give me both Xenoblade Games & Hyrule Warriors

I have one but Im not buying anything Nintendo related until Nintendo reveals the NX so Nintendo can suck it. Why should anyone buy Wii U games right now in the event they just get remasters for the NX for anyone that wants an NX ?

wonderfulmonkeyman3304d ago

If you're not willing to buy the games legit, you don't deserve to play them at all.

The same goes for anyone that thinks PS4 and XBone emulators would be a good idea.

They're not.

And anyone willing to use them should be ashamed of themselves for doing so; there's no guarantee that any game on any system will ever see a remaster on a future one, and using that as an excuse to steal the game code doesn't count as a solid reason.

BlaqMagiq13304d ago

This is coming along VERY nicely. Congrats to the dev team for their hard work.

EddieNX 3304d ago

Dev team? Surely you mean Nintendo and not these arse holes...

BlaqMagiq13304d ago (Edited 3304d ago )

They're arse holes for creating an emulator? Umm no lol. Stop it. This was inevitable. People are acting as if this was never going to happen. This is exactly the same situation as when Dolphin was created.

LOL_WUT3304d ago (Edited 3304d ago )

I'm not sure why this news upsets so many people. Either way this emulator is going to be the best one yet whether the haters want to admit it or not ;)

NohansenBoy3303d ago

Just, because it can be used for piracy doesn't mean that'll be its sole use.

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.

there wont be a new one until the switch 2 comes out.

nintendo needs their bangers early on
