MiniDOOM PC review - An ultra violent mini version of Doom 1 - TGG

Earlier today I (Robin Ek, TGG) sat down with Calavera Studio´s action/platform "Doom 1" parody game "MiniDOOM". And I´m sure glad that I made that decision, as the game rocks. And "MiniDOOM" is 100% free-to-play as well.

I´ll be playing this bad boy tonight =)

As the game is 100% free, there is no reason to turn it down really ;)

MiniDoom made me think about the old-school action/platform games from the early and mid 90s. I´m giving this one a fair try.

You do that =) And don´t forget to play through the game on both normal and the hard setting ;) (there are also quite a few Easter Eggs to be found as well).

Ehrm...The game died for me when I tried to pause MiniDoom for a brief moment :S

Like I said in the review, you can´t pause or click outside of "MiniDOOM´s" game video. Because if you do, then the game will get all messed up (either the controls get screwed up, or the game just crashes).

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
