According to CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski, the company doesn't have a next Witcher game in any kind of development. Nor is one planned.I asked him w…
As long as you guys slip me a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 I won't complain.
Well than you are a fool if you can live in a world where the witcher 4 will never happen. Cyberpunk should be amazing though, probably won't release very soon though.
Witcher 4 2023 Confirmed!
Jeez, I'm going to be as old as Geralt by then. At least it feels like it.
Look on the bright side, you will be wiser too. All those dumb choices you made in Witcher 3, you will make much better ones in Witcher 4!
Geralt is close on 100 years old when he appears in The Witcher 3.
Date to be confirmed. The project was outsourced to Team Ico, apparently :)

We will be fortunate if they can release a AAA game every year, which of course is not realistic.
Not sure what you're trying to say but historically CD Projekt take about 3-4 years to develop a game. I wouldn't count on Cyberpunk 2077 before 2018 (maybe even 2019) personally. And there is no way that they'll start pumping out sequels every 2 years. that's just not how CD Projekt does things.
Wouldn't mind a Game of Thrones type television show to continue the story with Ciri as a struggling empress and Geralt hunting monsters again, with the two occasionally crossing over.
Ok well Witcher 4 on PS5, PC, and Next Xbox then
Awesome, I love CDPR but I'm not too fond of medical/high fantasy (I don't know the word for it, LoTR and GoT-type stuff with magic and mythical beasts). Roll on 2077! Not the year... I'll probably be gaming from the grave at that point
medical fantasy? sth like Grey's Anatomy in Middle Earth?
It would be a shame if CD Projekt RED didn't make another game in the Witcher universe, doesn't have to be a sequel. I just want another Witcher game.
CD Projekt have ruled out any Witcher titles for at least the next six years, I wish Acti and EA would take this developing mantra on-board.
This is like Rockstar saying they wont make another GTA for the 10 years, not good news imo. You dont just abandon the franchise that made you who you are in gaming.
Well GTA 4 to 5 was 5 years. So them not concentrating on witcher for another 6 years does make sense.
GTA 5 took 5 years to develop! They are planning on ditching Witcher entirely for the next few years which means we probably wont see another game for a decade....
@Kreisen And thats a problem why? Imagine if Call of Duty wasnt released every year, and instead every 3-4 years. the games would be much better. Is it an issue when ND took time away from Uncharted to make Last of Us? They aren't Ditching the Witcher, they are focusing on Cyberpunk2077. if they kept pumping out Witcher Games they would lose what makes them so special. CDPR is a diamond in the rough. and if they Milked their games, (only focusing on one franchise witcher) they wouldn't be diamonds anymore. Plus things they have learned from Witcher 3 they are implementing into Cyberpunk, and when they learn stuff about Cyberpunk, they will implement those into their next game.
A good gap between releases in the same franchise is healthy. It greatly reduces fatigue and helps to build a huge amount of anticipation, not to mention it gives the devs time to make great games instead of rusing them out unfinished or light on features.
Damn... Cyberpunk it is then..
th witcher 1 and 2 hd remasters please
I think it's cool. That means that they have other IPS up their sleeve that they want to run with and they have strong faith in them. I am also glad to see they are healthy enough of a company that they don't have to rely on just one game and then milk it to survive.
Nope not expecting it, I'm expecting Cyberpunk 2077!
off topic... I want to know if i play Witcher 3 on new game plus and on death march will it unlock the death march trophy ?
yep! doing it now too. igni makes everything easy XD
How big the game world is and with all the DLC it will probably take me six years to finish it.
I think its fair to say we've all had our fill for now
Why are some gamers so impatient let them do their thing no one seems to care that Rockstar takes forever to release their games.
because we are not getting any younger. next year i will hit 40. so with the theoretical The Witcher 10 and averaging 6 years between the sequels, i won't even remember what a witcher is. if i will be alive.
Am okay with that, just keep working on Cyberpunk 2077 & the occasional W3 DLC
Blood and Wine is the last one
If thats it am so glad i still haven't finished the actual game it self.
