Xbox One Branding on Battlefield 1 Doesn’t Turn Off PS4 Gamers, Says EA

The PlayStation 4 is one of Sony’s most successful consoles. It is currently the leading current-generation console in sales. However, one of this year’s most anticipated games, the Battlefield 1, has Xbox One branding on a co-marketing deal between EA and Microsoft.

This week, during EA’s Investor Day Briefing, EA got asked whether this will have any impact on Battlefield 1’s sales or not. Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, said that this arrangement won’t be a turn off for PlayStation gamers.

So this means EA going show the first ever gameplay demo footage of Battlefield 1 at Microsoft E3 press conference next month. Can't wait!

Eonjay3311d ago

You won't have to wait for Microsoft's show. Doesn't EA now have their own show the Sunday before e3 which is litterly the day before?

badz1493311d ago

@rmw2hot87

yes, pretty sure they will but it won't be the Xbone version. 720p at E3 2016 will be embarrassing. they will use the PC version with the Xbone controller.

Gazondaily3311d ago

In fairness, the PC version embarrasses all console versions, even the 900p Playstation version.

badz1493311d ago

@Septic

so? I did say that they will use the PC version, right?

detroitmademe3311d ago

No it definitely won't turn me off. I still want my battlefield

BEASELY3311d ago

No, because I recognize it's all business and I'm not an emotional fanboy. Goes both ways. Destiny is the most bullying in this regard. There can't be a single bit of content injection without Playstation getting that extra layer of exclusive stuff.

Aloy-Boyfriend3311d ago

Doesn't matter! Sony has the COD deal, and Microsuave has the BF deal. EA wouldn't be in the same umbrella as their competition.

TwoForce3311d ago

Well, most of ps4 user including myself will buy Battlefield 1 just like Battlefield 4.

freshslicepizza3311d ago

stop being in denial, call of duty sold better on the ps4 than battlefield and it will be hard once again for battlefield to top call of duty this year for sales. it is what it is.

While thats great... keep in mind that COD has been 120 FPS on PS5 for quite some time... and even supports 120 FPS on Series S. So it would be nice if they could push for 120 FPS on base consoles in the new Battlefield as well.

peppeaccardo16d ago

After I burnt 100 quids on the gold edition of 2042 with a blind pre-order and for as much as they are creating hype on secondary features like the 120 fps thing .... my humble suggestion is to wait for the game to actually release, have it reviewed by REAL gamers and NOT paid Youtubers and if it hits 86 or above on users' review on MetaCritics it will be a buy for me. Any lack of maps, variety, gameplay or key features that they have implemented in other BF game will be a NO GO on my end. More so as this is EA a company I loved in the early era of video gaming but that now has become the king of microtransactions and deceptive marketing.

MaximusPrime_16d ago

120fps?

Excuse my French, Bl**dy h*ll

thorstein16d ago

Why not? Do tell.

Base PS5 can do 120 fps with HDMI 2.1.

we will see. not another fail

But at what cost? At what cost?!? 😁
