Warner Bros. Interactive is releasing a brand new Batman collection called Batman: Return to Arkham. This new collection will feature remastered version of the first two Batman games.
Why does UE3 look better on most of the pics..?
Textures looks better but lighting looks really bad maybe just lazy remastered
The UE4 version looks like it hasn't fully loaded yet or something. The only clear improvement i can see is on Mr. Freeze's suit.
outsourced and ported, remaster is just a marketing term.
My thoughts exactly rofl
Im starting to think people are just porting these games then stick it with a Remastered label. Its not like it costs much to port to current Gen consoles for all we know.
When it moved from Unreal engine 3 to 4, its in the remaster category. They could have just ported it 1.1 using the same engine bud.
You know nothing Jon Snow. Sorry, it's unrelated but I felt someone had to say it.
Because you forgot to put on your glasses... Jokes apart, all the UE3 scenes shown are pre rendered cutscenes... UE4 version may be realtime... Not sure though...
Because its not frame by frame. I would also include that you are not seeing it in motion to see some of the differences.
They must have switched them or mislabeled them. There is a difference, but the UE3 stuff just looks better.
If it isn't 60 then there really isn't a point to release it.Last gen versions are 30,unless it looks as good as arkham knight there is no excuse.
I really dont like hownArkham games feel and look at 60fps, they were made to play at 30fps and thats how I like them, but well, thats just my opinion.
Already got the remastered version twice. WB gave it to me a second time with the Arkham knight fiasco It's call the pc version already 1080P 60 frames sec, etc.
and it dosent look like crap and a downgrade like this one does
and we can guarantee that this version will still work on the next version of Windows and Steam.
You have a PC. Cool story, no one gives a shit.
You obviously do enough to make a spiteful reply to it
Good for you, but why some pc players are begging for this as well? At least we can play Arkham Knight.
Arkham Knight was significantly fixed. I don't know if it supports multi-GPU but I know that, at 4K, MY 290X plays it just fine.
@OoglyBoogly lol sure "significantly fixed" So fixed that they had to remove Batman Arkham Knight entirely from Steam :)
LOL, exactly, but let's trust this guy, he knows a lot. /s
It's been fixed and working fine for months. Great game and looked amazing on PC.
I hope there are also 60 fps improvements
This looks terrible! if you can't do a proper upgrade for the visuals then leave it alone and don't make it uglier like this.
OMG, worse "remaster" EVER!! Makes Prototype look awesome in comparison.
Sorry, looks like ass. Besides UE3 looks better.
what the hell? The UE3 shots look a thousand times better then than the UE4 ones. http://gearnuke.com/wp-cont... http://gearnuke.com/wp-cont... Strange looks like a bad Lincoln impersonator with a strap on beard in the "remastered" version. Look at the reflections, the skin texture, look at the beard and eye brows....Are they serious right now?
I really think the author got the images mixed up. Pretty sure the one on the right is UE4, left is UE3.
That's gotta be what happened I'm thinking...
I don't think so, look at the added detail to the textures on Mr Freeze, he clearly has more detail in the Unreal Engine 4 picture, overall, though, the game looks worse because it doesn't all mesh together the best. I'll reserve judgement until we see the game in motion, but so far this is ramping up to be one of the most disappointing remasters ever.
No, they're right: https://www.google.com/sear... Look at the pics there. They're all from the original Arkham City. The pics there looks just like the UE3 pics in the article. The "remaster" really is just THAT shitty.
I rather buy the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum and Origins for cheap.
So the U3 engine baste game can magically turn into a U4 engine one who knew, pity about their not being a pc version, would have like to do some data mining and called them out on their BS.

Nope, no thank you.
Uh oh. Looks like they're trying to go the resolution route versus refresh rate. If it was 60 frames per second they would've already announced it. But I guess if you cared about that sort of thing you'd be on PC anyway.
looks like shi*, the liquid kind with corn
why did they do that? What a joke
I swear, UE3 looks better.
Wow... As much as I love these games, and I really love them, I will definitely skip out on this if these screenshots are accurate. Everything looks muddy and unfinished, like they took the shots during the loading gap or something. Really WB, you should have thrown money at Rocksteady to do this. They could have kept it looking amazing and probably done the work in half the time...
Love the games but I'm not buying them again.
