'Uncharted 4' is Filled with Stupidly Impressive Details

In just under a week Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been met with an unparalleled reception from the gaming community. The final chapter of Nathan Drake’s adventure has been praised for its fantastic writing, beautiful visuals, overhauled combat mechanics and more importantly: the overwhelming moments all of these elements combine to make. Some spoilers ahead.

My favourite detail is Nate's ears glowing reddish when light shines through them. That is impressive attention to detail.

I loved when I shone my torch in Sams face and he squinted and shielded his eyes.

The ice sculptures at the auction were great.

really there's just too many great details to mention.

One details I loved was the weapons having straps where Nate would would put the weapon on his back using the strap in the other games it would just stick to his back like it was covered in glue

I loved when I shone my torch in Elena's face and she squinted and shielded her eyes. :)

But seriously, while the reflections off the water puddles were the most impressive for me, I like it even more that the facial expressions of rendered characters now have crossed the uncanny valley.

One of the first little details that struck me was near the beginning after the diving section. The water in the bottle dispenser distorted what you could see through it, just like in real life. Minor thing, but really impressed me.

I noticed that with the wine glasses in the Rossi Estate. The liquid looks really good.

Well all the minor things add up adding a lot more to the immersion. That's why ND are top class since they pay attention to minor details when it comes to animations and physics.

I love Drakes journal and exploring Madagascar and the chapter where you're with Sam in the boat. Absolutely gorgeous and open levels. They took me extra long to beat because I kept exploring and also looking for treasures

At the auction, couple ladies drinking champagne actually had some in their glasses; it'd move around as their glasses tilted, nearly spilling. Saw it after zooming in by accident.

Pintheshadows2898d ago

Yeah, it is really impressive.

Yesterday afternoon I took my dog out for a walk. I noticed this patch of grass and how it was swaying according to the wind. I realized how this patch of grass looks like the the grass in some areas of Unchared 4. I've been gaming since the 80's and this is the first time I ever saw something in the outside world that resembled to the tee something I saw in a game. Usually, it's the other way around.

The best games of their generation too. Its incredible how great most if not all of playstations games are. Whether you like the stories or not you cant deny the quality of each title.

Hated tlou part 2. But im going to buy it when it is cheap enough because i want to play the remastered content for $10 extra dollars. Theyre adding a roguelike mode...thats going to be fun!
