5 Reasons Sly Cooper Is Worthy of a Ratchet & Clank Style Remake

Remember the PS2 days? When 3D platformers were a dime in a dozen and the best of the best battled it out for fandom? Of course, I’m talking about Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and Sly Cooper. But what about Sly Cooper? He deserves a chance to bring back the magic of 2002 just as much as his Lombax cousin, and here’s a few reasons why.

I would rather have a Sly Cooper 5, Sly 4 was terrific. I also want that cliffhanger at the end addressed

True but at the same time, you want to reach out to new audiences especially to the guys who weren't still around when the first Sly launched.

SP took a different approach with Sly 2 ad 3 compared to Sly1.
I think Sly 1 remake would make sense.. Thievius Racoonus.
I love this series, i hope Sanzaru is on the next one.

I still feel like this series could benefit from the release model of an episodic game. Sorta like Hitman, except, y'know, with more content each month

I actually agree to a degree because of the format and structure of the game I believe that a mission by miission thing could work but I'm not sure the series is popular enough to maintain long-term marketing with an episodic game Hitman is a very popular series and they're able to maintain strong marketing for a while for each episode so I'm not sure that the Sly Cooper series could pull that off.

I would say he was even more deserving, what with him being somewhat lesser known. But personally, I would like to see a Medievil reboot.

Are they still releasing that Sly Cooper animated movie? I remember the first trailer and then all the attention moved to Ratchet.

If they are still making a Sly movie, I'm hopeful a game would follow.

I only finished sly1 on the hd collection and i didn't really feel it too much.Are sly 2 and 3 better games?

It would be nice to have a game follow the film but I'm not sure if the series makes enough to Warrant a new entry the last Sly Cooper sold like half a million I just think that's extremely small to gamble another title on.

Does Sly Cooper need a remake?
Ratchet and Clank certainly didn't, and by all accounts the remake failed to improve the series.

The point is that the remake did not add anything to the series and is inferior to the original game, making it an entirely meaningless effort.

It's the fastest selling Ratchet to date and is averaging an 86% critically, so it's a hit. I wouldn't call that meaningless.
