Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is in development at Dimps and scheduled for release in North America in 2016, and in Europe during an unannounced release window.
Im tired of this kind of art style that they used since battle of z why is everything shiny and glowing? let the naruto storm team make a dragonball game already
Actually don't knock it yet! I think that the trailer was a bunch of cuts from the first Xenoverse game,at the 00:49 mark is where the second game graphics are shown(or sadly could just be a cut-scene) but I noticed that most of the DBZ games cut scenes are in-game engine,so hopefully the graphics and art-style resemble what we saw at the said mark.(which is daaaaaaaaaaamn freakin AWESOME!!!!) Fingers crossed!
Yeah, that's just most anime games today. Anime and their games look worse today than they did in the 80's and 90's.
I completely agree with you, i have made similar complaints about everything looking shiny in past Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse takes it up a level though. It's like everything is covered in oil :p I find this shiny glowing look horrible to look at over time, it's just too much.
Naruto Storm uses a very simple cel-shade style in comparison to Xenoverse, but it makes up for it with amazing animations and particle effects.
Ah, f***. I knew it but hoped it was Project Fusion. S***.
As long as the AI doesn't constantly spam DISAPPEAR FOR GOOOD, YOU'RE THE ONE.. WHO WILL DIE!. BEAT IT! TAKE YOUR PLANET WITH YOU! KAMEHAMEHAA!, and TIMES 100! YOU READY? BIG BANG KAMEHAMEHAA! its should be good. Fighting Teen Gohan's AI in the end game side missions was pure hell.
Guess I'll be buying this as well. One thing someone said in the comments on the site. "Make the hair change and not just the hair color." I second that as it was kind of disappointing to get the skill and then just see the hair change.
Xenoverse abbreviated was already Dragonball XV(representing the fact it was the 15's dragonball Z game). So now... DBXV2?
Isn't it like the 40th Dragon Ball game?
There are way too many DBZ fighting games. It would be awesome to get a true open-world DBZ RPG game featuring the whole Z saga from start to end.
They tried it failed hard. Dragonball sagas.
Hopefully it fixes the problems of the first entry. There needs to be better customization. I was shocked you couldn't stack equipment like say having a scouter and a sword for instance. Raging Blast 2 allowed for equipment stacking even with less options. Also the RNG system needs to go. Having to to certain missions over and over again only to get the same item or no items at all is just wrong. One does not need 10 pairs of Broly pants yet can't seem to get the rest of his gear. The story was great though aside from the mini Buu mission and Bardock vs 100. Could of did without those headaches. The roster needs a lot of work too. Various Saibaman and Frieza grunt henchman but no Frieza 2nd and 3rd transformations, Zarbon, Dodoria, Cooler, Cell 1 and 2 or Buu absorption's. Not sure what all that was about.
You have to realize they were comming off of ultimate tenchechi and battle of z. There sales expectation were probably low after those and the budget as well. Now with some criticism and perhaps higher budget I have faith in them to improve. The hub world already looks a million times better and you can fly in it!!! That shows they are listening.
Xenoverse was a huge disappointment for me. They need to take the Tenkaichi 2 and 3 gameplay and just update the graphics and story. No other DBZ game felt as authentic as those. It really felt like you were playing an episode of DBZ. Also, i want to have every character's transformation available and able to do in a fight. The transformation system in Xenoverse was complete ass compared to Tenkaichi 2 and 3. You know what? Just make Tenkaichi 4...
But every character was a carbon copy on those games. In xenoverse not only do the energy beams all have unique quirks to them but also the combat. Same combos for different characters will give you different results. Back attacking is different for some. Like example yachas back attacks hits forward and backward making it less risky for when you think someone will teleport behind you
Thats the thing they kinda were on the right track with Raging blast 2 except for it having no story and then Ultimate and Battle of Z happened. I would love Tenkaichi 4 as its still my favorite 3D DBZ fighter. I remember keeping up with the game heavily back then. The included pretty much every character I could of asked for and even had ones I didn't even know I would like. They seriously went all out in BT 3. BT 2 had better music imo but the 3rd one had better everything else.
I always thought the Tenkaichi and Raging Blast seried had a vastly different feel to them, which is why I cant stand RB2. It felt like they tried to take everything from Tenkaichi, update it to new consoles, but downgrade alot of elements and made the game considerably more clunky and slow (movement wise). I also felt that they seriously did worse with the effects in RB2 compared to BT3. Basicly, RB2 looked like I could enjoy it, but I never felt like I enjoyed playing it. I also didnt like BT2 music, but I guess thats very subjective, like at least they made the tracks quite unique, but I heard Tenkaichi Tag Team had pretty good music too.
Ughhh they need to stop with these button mash games. Thats why we have naruto and one piece. Please just go back to budokai or burst limit.
