I'll be tuned in to check out all of the huge announcements coming from Sony

rainslacker2992d ago

Hoping for the E3 Experience in theaters again this year. Last year was awesome, and close enough that I didn't have to drive 4 hours to it like the year before.:)

bouzebbal2992d ago

June 13th.. I'll be watching as always

nX2992d ago

Sony's E3's have been amazing in the last 5 years, I'll definitely stay awake to watch it again. Hopefully God Of War 4 will be finally unveiled and I certainly wouldn't mind the rather unlikely announcement of TLOU2.

Gamist2dot02992d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Gotta up vote you for your 4 hour drive. But last year's E3 was amazing.

Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot

Maybe if we say it enough it will come true

Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot

naruga2993d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Crash Bandicoot (returns to sony) , Crash Bandicoot (returns to sony) ... here i corrected it a bit.. differently better to be left dead ..

Davi1232992d ago

unbelievable...... -.-'''

nX2992d ago

Fo real tho, I don't want another Crash from Activision.

It doesn't even have to be Naughty Dog, Insomniac could be the perfect studio for a reboot.

nveenio2993d ago

I'm not interested. Nostalgia is not the best foundation for a game.

81BX2992d ago

After uncharted 4 its almost guarenteed to make a return

_-EDMIX-_2992d ago

I mean I absolutely agree with you but for all we know it's a complete reboot that is aiming to actually really create something different than the original series I agree that Nostalgia can not carry this game because that really only goes so far but I feel that the team likely making the Crash Bandicoot reboot probably already knows this.

WickedLester2992d ago

Yeah, TOTALLY didn't work for Ratchet and Clank did it? /sarcasm.

Sevir2992d ago

Ratchet and Clank is different. It stayed with the developer for 14 years, had numerous revisions and iterations to its formula. It was a game that was rebootable because it was way ahead of other platforms for its time upon release initially.

Crash on the other hand was an isometric platformed about escaping boulders and collecting fruit while jumping over chasms...

If you reboot it to cater to a new crowd, you're definitely going to need to go full 3d and open world, because let's be honest how fun is seeing a PS4 quality crash model doing the same movements and running towards the screen against a confined isometric view for 10 hours. How long before running in the same view or the minor switches to side scrolling view before it gets stale and boring?

It was fun on PS1 but we were children/young teens. We are adults now we expect better game design mechanics.

That crash bandicoot segment in uncharted 4 was fun for the 5 mins it lasted.

They can't make this game on nostalgic archaic game design, it will be boring after 10 mins, and they can't change it or it loses the magic of the original game which again only last so long based on outdated gameplay mechanics..

Leave Crash alone, that's why act I vision left it alone even after Sierra entertainment tried and failed.

Crash is no where near as fun as ratchet and clank, sly or Jak and Daxter.

And I for one say leave the classic alone we don't need them making a new game to cash in on the name and disappoint us.

It's a classic and some classics should remain that way

UnHoly_One2992d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Glad somebody else gets that it wouldn't work as a current game.

It could probably work as a mediocre cellphone game or something, but that's about it.

It would have to be a completely different game from what it was originally to stand out in today's world.

DigitalRaptor2992d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Sony have said it enough times, without actually saying it, if you know what I mean?

It just has to be at E3, and if it is, the audience reaction is going to be the greatest things, other than the announcement itself. HYPE!

rainslacker2992d ago

just the teases of it have gotten people hyped again and again. I never even realized the game was that popular because I never got into it much back in the day, and mostly just remember Activisions handling of the series. Always liked it when I went retro and played it though, despite being frustrated at times.

A full blown announcement will be crazy I think.

Wonder if they'll harken back to the advertising days and have Crash outside MS headquarters with a bullhorn.

Unholy_Witchcraft2992d ago

That would be good. I wouldnt mind another Syphon Filter game in the style of the first 3 titles

MRMagoo1232992d ago

remember tazering bad guys till they caught on fire and died lol

Aenea2992d ago

And the press conference is now twice as long since they will be showing a ton of PSVR games, please! Let it be so!

_-EDMIX-_2992d ago

Lol I have a feeling that Crash Bandicoot is very much going to get announced at E3.

Nyxus2993d ago

As always in the middle of the night for us Europeans...

-Foxtrot2993d ago

You'd think they would remember it's a world wide event.

The least they could do is find a channel in the UK/Europe to put the conferences on

Sniperwithacause2993d ago

You would think that they aren't going to host an event at 11 pm California time just to please uk/Europe. Not to be a jerk, but it's in America so it makes sense to do it on the time frame that would fit Americans.

JMyers2993d ago

I know right? There is or was a Sony TV channel and E3 was never on it. Ridiculous.

nveenio2993d ago

It's not a world-wide event. It's an American expo. They don't time TGS for the USA. Why should E3 be any different?

RevXM2992d ago

Well... there is an E3 youtube channel and Sony live streams on their Playstation channel dont they?
E3 is an american expo event taking place in america so they have to do it in a timeframe that makes sense over there. I live in europe and Im fine with this. I will stay up late or watch it the next day. Its just an inconvenience, nothing to sob about. :)

Malphite2992d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Well it's always night somewhere. They can't have it on prime time for everyone.

Chevalier2993d ago

It happens. Just like I have to wake up at 6 AM sometimes to watch IIHF hockey tournaments when they're in Europe. If you like it you will make time for it, simple as that.

Muzikguy2992d ago (Edited 2992d ago )

Exactly. I thought it was just an American ideal that everyone needs to be catered to. I guess not. There's your entitlement right there...

I never mind shows being at odd times because then all the news is all over the Internet by the time I get to it

ger23962992d ago

Exactly, same when watching the English Premier League at 7:00 a.m. it's early, but worth it.

_-EDMIX-_2992d ago

@Chevalier- Could not agree more as a huge MMA fan I used to be up all hours in the early morning to watch Pride events. It was happening in Japan and I live in the USA. if you're a fan then you're not going to miss it and you're going to make time. Around E3 my hand off lots of my clients over to my sister and other family members that are also in real estate simply so I could just sit back and watch all the conferences and news. Lol

Before I was in real estate I even called out of a class to watch E3, before I was in college when I was working I even had it arranged for me to not work those days on my schedule weeks in advance to watch E3 lol.

Oh...you'll make the time. There's tons of other events happening in Germany Paris Japan where we're going to have to accommodate time anyway and I'm sorry but that's never really going to stop most Gamers I mean I'm up all hours reading news believe me I'm going to stay up to hear it live lol.

SonyStyled2992d ago

Europe is on the complete other side of the hemisphere from the western coast of the United States, so the middle of the night for you is the middle of the day in California

Nyxus2992d ago

I know that. But Nintendo for example often had their shows in the morning, and over here it would be 18:00 - 19:00. Much more convenient for Europe.

Kurisu2993d ago

Hopefully the rumours about a new mythology come true :)

Yui_Suzumiya2993d ago

Unless it's just... a myth

Sigh

I'll see myself out now :3

81BX2992d ago

Hope so, gow3 was great

_-EDMIX-_2992d ago

What are those rumors of Norse mythology isn't a god of war but an entirely new IP?

Kurisu2992d ago

Could be possible! Whatever it is I'm looking forward to it.

shazow2993d ago

Alright everyone, all aboard the hype train. Next stop is E3!
