"Can it Run Crysis" is the name of one of the Achievements / Trophies back on 360 / PS3. ;)

I beat the original "Crysis (PS3)" and it was okay but definitely had issues with super-sighted enemies.

Played "Crysis 2 (PS3)" about half way and stopped due to lack of interest. I intend to go back one day but the games, at least in comparison to other FPSs on PS3, just aren't that good. I don't know about "Crysis 3" as I have yet to play it, but do own it for PS3 and will play eventually as well.

Please don't. The game had some cool ideas, and great graphics for the time, but overall it was just so overrated. Was it fun? Sure, for a while. But it wasn't the second coming of christ that so many other gamers made it out to be.

I would rather Crytek just make a new IP instead of wasting any resources on remasters.

Who are you trying to convince? I've never known or seen anyone that thinks as highly about the game as you seem to think people did. I think the vast majority would agree that it was fun for a while but nothing amazing outside of the graphics.

What's with all the downvotes? What is so wrong?

kevnb1273d ago (Edited 1273d ago )

I think the game was amazing. the sandbox type design of the levels is still unmatched, crysis 2 and 3 are terribly disappointing.
The way you hide in the bushes, the way the powers worked, the physics and the way the terrain was laid out all felt so much more natural than any other game and I couldn't stop playing it for about a year.

@kevnb

It still has notch notch physics & graphics compared to modern games aside from a blurry texture here and there, doesn't look like a 9 year old game.

The first game was great, but the second two games were....ok I guess.

MyDietEqualsGames1273d ago

With mods, the game still stands out today, graphically. The game play was so good too.

Phunkydiabetic11273d ago

Haha I was about to say the same thing. It was all overrated it wasn't funny. Great graphics. Mediocre gameplay. It seems like it was one of the few things PC people could brag about or something.

kneon1273d ago

I only played the first couple of hours, and then gave up due to boredom. I got the maximum edition and never bothered to try Crysis War or Warhead, maybe they are better.

THE PHYSICS AND AI WERE AMAZING in Crysis 1 and are still better than modern games sadly.

To THIS DAY NO other game has put me in a jungle where all I see around is trees and nature with its detail...NO OTHER GAME and no far cry 3 and 4 didn't have the graphics of it and detail. Your probably not a pc gamer so you never got to experience Crysis 1 the way it was meant to be played. On console they got rid of half the vegetation getting rid of the amazing dense jungle Crysis 1 had on pc and it ran at like 25 fps..

I had more fun than any other fps with its ai, and destroying huts with grenades and ramming through walls. Then running through the nearby jungle retreating and being chased by North koreans. I throw grenades and gunfire is everywhere which creates a nicely amount of thin smoke just lingering in the air......nice little detail I noticed on PC atleast.

Not many games had good and fun engaging combat with its ai like Crysis did nor does any game offer the huge jungle environment with its detail STILL....I would love a remaster of it .

I appreciated Uncharted 4'so jungle level but it's not like you could run through dense jungles like in crysis. Nor were the trees destructible like crysis.

I am in fact a PC gamer and always have been. I do play my PS4 mostly now, but that's just because my PC has been out of commission for about a year now. Yes the AI was great, yes the graphics were great. I get it, I've played the game maxed out many times, I've tried many cool mods, etc. It was a good game, I never said it wasn't. I'm just saying it was overrated, which it was. All you ever heard for years in terms of PC gaming was Crysis this, Crysis that. It was a good game, but it was not a masterpiece like it was made out to be.

I don't see why it needs a remaster. Having JUST played it again the game still looks amazing and has graphics and physics that most games even today don't match (like the destructible trees and buildings).

No, it doesn't need a "remaster" but perhaps they could just re-release it as some sort of Crysis Collection or something.

whitesoxfalife19761273d ago

just bring it over to the BC list and im fine

LP-Eleven1273d ago

A Remaster isn't a problem at all, especially if it can run with today's updated technology.

Vegamyster1273d ago

A update to get rid of the two cpu core limit would be nice.

Darkwatchman1273d ago

But can it run Crysis Remastered 😏
