If it were heat the system would likely throttle down or power off as an additional symptom.

Possibly and more likely to happen on older launch systems too I bet. I have a newer model PS4 with the physical buttons that runs cooler but my friend has a launch PS4 and some games does kick his fans up high. I have Uncharted 4 but he doesn't. Uncharted 2&3 used to do that to my PS3 too.

Volkama3269d ago

I have a launch PS4 and TLOU Remastered is the title that most obviously pushed the fans hardest (particularly noticable because parts of the game are quiet). I wouldn't be at all surprised if Uncharted 4 pushed the hardware in the same way.

That's no indictment of Naughty Dog though. Pushing the hardware is exactly what we want them to be doing.

The annoying thing is in order to clean out the fan you have to void the warranty, while mine is out of factory warranty I live in a state that has a 4 year defect warranty on almost everything as law. So basically if I stop mine from blowing up from heat I void the warranty, or I let it go into meltdown and then fuck around trying to get gamestop to honor the law (which they hate doing).

Bugs found in UC4..tries to play it off as possible faulty console. LOL It's a new game. Bugs will be present. No need to deflect. The scores won't change, the game as a whole won't change. Downloading the day one patch as I type this. Looking forward to my playthrough.

You're going to love this game

In my first playthrough I didn't run into a single glitch this game is extremely polished if not the most polished game I've ever played

I'm noticing a lot of new games are starting to push my PS4 fans into overdrive although Uncharted doesn't seem to be doing this to me, which surprised me.

I was playing Gundam Breakers 3 which in all truth makes your PS4 sounds like a jet engine lol

My PS4 was sounding like that as well. Once I opened it up and cleaned out the fan of all the dust caked on it, was back to normal.

Stapleface3269d ago

It's been fun so far. Can't say anything as I don't want to spoil stuff for people, but there are some cool moments. My favorite so far is kind of an Easter Egg, but thrown right at you as part of the game play. I thought Nathan was just sitting there not knowing what to do, but then realised I was in control. Major nostalgia.

All he said was "sounds like overheating"... Since when was a possible cause considered "deflecting"? What is it you believe he's trying to bring down? The game or the console itself? If he's trying to bring down the console, why is the score relevant?

Overheating is a legit cause of graphical glitching though. Pc owners know this. Also hardware defect as well.

Had a few texture glitches too but nothing bad, what i really want is for artifact and character models to appear faster if not instant when viewing them

BossBattle3269d ago

I hope not. I just bought this today when I got paid. I wanna play some after work.

Dario_DC3269d ago

Never got any of those but I already got some slow loading textures on Nathan's journal
