An important notice for UNCHARTED: Fortune Hunter players

Naughty Dog announces that UNCHARTED: Fortune Hunters will be discontinued.

It was a mobile puzzle game for phones... Not bad for what it was but nit mind blowing either.

You could unlock some skins for the MP in Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy.

GT7 will get the same retirement except for the fact you can play this game offline still.

GTSport is still going strong, and it has the same restrictions.

It will eventually be retired though, what then?

When PS4 becomes retro and collectors want in on it, there's no way a complete collection can ever be bought or even played because there's so many games reliant on being online the whole time. This isn't good for the industry. Probably the last machines that will be worth anything to collectors will be PS3/360. Even most "physical" Switch games need to download large portions of data.

And this is why an all digital future and GaaS is bad.

Where’s the guy that said all game should always be available when the Forza mobile game was taken offline?

Eonjay749d ago

I mean I don't think anyone would actually say this.

Uncharted: Fortune Hunter Review by Gravis Ludus

Carl Williams writes, "Uncharted, one of the main reasons people prefer the Playstation line of consoles, will probably never see a full release on Android or iOS. What we can expect though is probably more spinoff titles like Uncharted: Fortune Hunter. I can say there is more gameplay in this spinoff than there is in similar apps for various first person shooters. Rip the Uncharted name from Fortune Hunter and you have a decent puzzle game, not a great one but one worth the price of admission. Did I mention this game is free?"
