With another May the 4th concluded, we’ve been reminded of how Star Wars has become the new modern myth, cementing its place as a pop cultural and video game historical phenomenon. The Star Wars experience began for many of us when we first experienced the VHS at home. For others, it began with a controller, some simple graphics and neat sound effects.
Some of the games that most can recall are the Atari 2600 games based on The Empire Strikes Back film, and the port of the arcade game, which had you piloting an X wing against the first Death Star in “A new hope.”
