Does 15th Sept in Japan also means 15th Sept all over Asia ?

Also probably 2017 for NA and EU. How hard is to do a WW release in this day and age. Am I missing something ?

GameBoyColor1528d ago

Next event is at e3, expect NA release date then. I believe they are aiming for 2016 in the west still. 2017-18-19-20-3000 for EU though.

Hahahahaha that'd be cool but don't be surprised if our release date doesn't get revealed till around the time of the Japanese launch

Depends on how they work and their ressources. It might be easier for them to finish first the Japanese version and allow them to release the Japanese version as soon as possible.

P5 & Nier Automata this year for me. No other JRPG comes close.

This game looks freaking amazing, like GOTY contender good. Heres the latest trailer from the stream in HD..

Apparently they mentioned E3 at the end of the stream so hopefully we'll know a worldwide release date then

WTF is at 1:10. This game is weird. I just cant play weird games like these

the_dark_one1528d ago

Thats cause you not a fan, if you wore you would know persona games always weird stuff happen

Blastoise1528d ago

Just a strange monster, nothing too bizarre for a JRPG?

You should play Soul Sacrifice Delta & Bloodborne if you think this game is weird :P

Trez12341528d ago

It does look really good.

Imalwaysright1528d ago

If it has the same quality of Persona 3 and Persona 4 there is no doubt about it, Persona 5 will be my GOTY.

TheColbertinator1528d ago

Come on Sega, give us the western release

MWH1528d ago (Edited 1528d ago )

I wish the game was a bit more like Persona 2 with having adult characters in the team like Baofu and Katsuya and a little away of the high school trend of 3 and 4 . it would be nice to have characters some of us older gamers can relate to. we're not dead yet.

Sadly the High School Student thing is what is popular and what sells the series now, as Persona 4/Golden saw the best sales numbers in the series. I wish they would have college kids or something with 20+ year olds, with Persona 2's maturity, but I don't think we'll get that again with Persona. The only hope for something like that is
SMT, which is pretty much kicked to the curb, because the spinoff series Persona is more popular now than SMT is/was.

Edit : SMT is the mainline series, Persona is a spin off, just like Devil Summoner, Strange Journey, Devil Survivor, and many others. Those games have ALWAYS been spinoffs.

hkgamer1528d ago

well persona was never really a spin off series. was only a spin off series outside japan in name only

DragonDDark1527d ago

Come on man. We both know it's going to be amazing :)

Hold_It1527d ago (Edited 1527d ago )

P5 looks like it's going to be fun, but you can always want more, right? It just sucks being more of an SMT fan, and watching all these Persona games come to consoles, while SMT is only on 3DS. I just think it would be cool to see the series grow with the audience, ya know? I think it would be more refreshing, interesting, and relatable if they did that.

Preach brother, PREACH!

I do like the high school trend the last 2 entries had, however I agree with you. High school doesn't mean all characters need to be young, they could say make a teacher or two into Persona users as well.

Spurg1528d ago

I gonna guess its takes around 70 hours to complete based on other persona games...which should be around 2 weeks if spare a few hours each day. You'll be able to finish it right on time for FF15....but it doesn't really matter as a western release date hasn't been announced yet.
