DICE Employees Delete Tweets & Apologize for Bashing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reveal Trailer

Following our post on how some people employed by DICE (the studio behind Battlefield) publicly trashed Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer, it seems the people behind the tweets have had a change of heart, as not only have the tweets been deleted, but some have even apologized.

I don't think it has anything to do with "growing balls". It's probably removed so it doesn't reflect his company and even EA for that matter (not like their rep can get much worse anyway). I'm all for showing criticisms where they're due, but I think his game should talk before his own words. Actions speak louder than words after all.

Then again, it won't be hard for the next Battlefield to look and play better than any new Call of Duty.

I will buy new Battefield game and COD Infinite Warfare. Look, i know people will disagree with me, but that's just me.

So far my impression of this guy is that he's made a crap game (Battlefront) and then has the audacity to call other games crap.

one they represent a rival company who may fire them for giving them a bad name (ok a worse name) and two maybe they have friends of friends that worked on infinite warfare alot of game devs know each other or at least know of each other

It's not the first time Dice employees have said childish negative comments publicly about COD though.

When BF3 was coming out they came at COD in a similar immature way. Even before that, this thread has some people discussing it around 2011 when BF3 came out. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boa...

I don't believe anyone from the COD team has ever responded or attempted to slight the BF team with any public comments.

I play both games and like them both for what's different about them but BF team IMO has been far more immature and condescending. There is nothing humble about DICE.

I still remember before BF3 came out and they said something along the lines of the reason BF3 only had 24 players on console was because "they didn't know console wanted to have more". Shortly after they give some BS corporate sounding technical limit excuse. Meanwhile later on people ran custom servers running 32 players and even a programmer for DICE tried to explain it all but still said "I can't remember how we ended up with the limit of 24 players..." http://battlelog.battlefiel...

But they also said this month's before hand in March that year "Battlefield 3 needs an extra bit of special attention on the PC. I intend to give it that attention, tradition and our community demand it.". They wanted to technically please the PC crowd while trying their hardest to appeal to the console COD crowd. While they sold a lot (with console>pc) it wasn't close to COD and it only alienated many core BF fans.

Long story short, DICE should be worried about themselves and not COD. They want so badly to directly compete against COD instead of focusing of being the best BF. I just want Battlefield to stay Battlefield and COD to stay COD and for them to leave each other alone.

That's just lame to say the least.
They were unprofessional.
Use brain > 'grow balls' specially on the Internet. IMHO

EA made them delete it because they didn't want the CoD devs to bring up how broken BF4 and BF3 were (at and beyond launch) and how team balancing is broken to this day.

We need more devs upping the competition and bringing the heat.

Everyone is so PC, polite and gracious that it's sort of refreshing to see a dev start some good natured funk.

Imo he was totally right. He shouldn't have deleted it

TwoForce1111d ago

I don't think so. Even I understand you don't like Infinite Warfare for sure, but doesn't mean to disrespect to your competitors. If i were him, i won't do it. Because i don't like dishonor and disrespect person. A cocky person like him will never get respect. I'm more a honor and respect person. If you have seen my comments, i almost never make a joke and laugh about this situation like this.
