Here's How Resident Evil Would Have Looked As A 90's Arcade Beat 'Em Up

Survival horror games are great and all, but sometimes it's nice to just ditch the tension and go back to the tried-and-true method of cracking some skulls. Oh, if dreams would come true.

Funny enough, Capcom used a ton of unconventional exploration and an adventure-style inventory system in their D&D beat 'em ups that would work so well for a game like this. I know it'll never happen, but it would be freaking epic.

Omg make resi evil 6 like this as a psn game 😆

As if Capcom would listen... Much less have the talent to do it properly.

I know right. What a sad sad sad shell of their former selves. I mean.. How hard would it be to give us a survival horror game. Someone that works there has to have half a brain.

Never say it would be easy to make. Yes -Maybe- a team of devs could cook up a 2D beat em up with survival horror elements, but if Capcom wouldn't be doing things like inserting mandates for additional elements -say online multiplayer- then they'd demand it to be release by a set date on top of other demands.

I would play the crap out of it, but let me unlock the option to play as the enemy bosses after clocking it, would love to walking around with nemesis b*tchslapping everything with my tentacles.

dead_pixels1118d ago

That'd be awesome. Personally, I'd love to play as Hunk!

Looks cool. I kind of miss playing through a shorter beat em up style game.
