A new pre-alpha demo was released for The Wild Eight, a realistic survival game on Kickstarter. The whole thing left Cliqist writer Josh Griffiths a bit cold.
Jordan writes: "Whilst there could be some work done with the combat and control system, The Wild Eight performs well enough in all other aspects and presents you with more than enough gameplay to keep you entertained for hours."
Neil writes: "The Wild Eight sees you play out proceedings as one of eight survivors of a mysterious plane crash. And you know what that means? You must survive, by any means possible."
From PSU: "The Wild Eight is a fine survival and micromanagement simulator that is ably supported by decent crafting, exploration and a nuanced audiovisual presentation. However, the omission of the online multiplayer functionality which is arguably the cornerstone of the PC version, certainly stings much more than it should."
Bummer the author didn't like it, I enjoyed it quite a bit
