the power of FREE mainstream OS!

Deadpooled3333d ago

Duh because it was FREE! (and sh*ts all over windows 8)

I personally think 8.1 is better than 10!

freshslicepizza3333d ago

why, or are you just trying to go against the grain?

badz1493332d ago

No, really. And I said, "personally".

After the abomination that was Win 8, 8.1 update was greatly welcomed. Got some getting use to, but over time, it was clear that it was indeed better. I was holding on and only installed 10 on my laptop and did/'t like it. After all the announcement of Xbone games going to Win 10 and DX12 promised features, I caved in and installed i10 on my PC. So far...still not liking it. And the fact that it crashes more times than the entire period I was on 8.1 doesn't help either!

Win 7 is still king IMO though

Is it really a surprise to anyone out there?

We're pretty much being forced to do it afterall.

Nivekki3333d ago

I'm still running Windows 7 personally. It nags every once in a while, but I'm still here with no 7. Not been forced yet, still wondering where the forcing is supposed to come from. Does someone come and point a gun at you?

ProjectVulcan3333d ago (Edited 3333d ago )

Yep, DX12 is forcing it. However I dual boot with Win 7 as my primary OS, and Win 10 as required for some games now. It's no big deal as both boot so quickly, although I am under no illusions nearly everyone logging onto steam to play games will always be on Windows 10 within just a couple years- including me.

I'll be on Windows 7 until I am forced off of it. Did the same for XP.
