NL:
If Chasing Dead was a more polished product with all its issues ironed out, you might find a decent sci-fi zombie romp underneath all the mess. Perhaps the developer will go back and patch out all the issues one day, but as it stands Chasing Dead is best left on the shelves of the Nintendo eShop. Not recommended.
Wiiwarewaves Review of 2020 Ventures's Eshop tilte Chasing Dead.
With all of the good said about the story, and graphics, the developers didn't take the time and fix the frame rate issues!?! It would have been a game I would have liked. $30 for a game that puts out 15fps at times, no thanks!
The guys of Gaming Boulevard wrote their review of Chasing Dead on Wii U and concluded:
Chasing Dead isn’t the game we hoped for. A First Person Zombie Shooter sure sounded like fun but this game doesn’t offer any of that. The game looks great but when you start moving, everything fails. Zombies randomly appear, the frame rate drops below ten and due to the lack of waypoints, you never know where to go. Since the game costs 29.99, we can’t really recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for a Zombie game on Wii U, there’s more than one better alternative for that price.
Chasing Dead looks like it could fill a genre that the Wii U is sorely lacking: the FPS genre. So how is the game? Not very good. At all.
Damn, really?
The previews looked generally okay, so I thought this had a genuine chance of being a fun ride.
That sucks...
It seems the concept was good to bring a certain atmosphere that has not really been done in Zombie games, but its a shame that it hasn't been able to deliver on those promises.
