Glenn Fiedler is a game-networking consultant with credits on Sony's God of War series, Respawn's Titanfall, and more. In a detailed blog post this week, he lays out what he sees as a core problem of client-side trust in the way The Division's basic networking is structured.

Call of duty fan here! Ufff!

HowdyPazuzu3341d ago

That's ok by the time I hit level 30 I was so bored with the game I haven't touched it since.

Dabigsiebowski3341d ago

Well at least you and the millions of others didn't learn your lesson from Ubisoft.

Dabigsiebowski3341d ago (Edited 3341d ago )

Dark Souls 3, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, Arma 3, Starcraft 2, Witcher 3, Final Fantasy IV-XII, an actual MMO built with plenty of stuff to do like FFXIV or BDO. I don't care about the interest topic because more people should actually research games instead of blindly giving money to a a company for a history of developing and releasing horrible unfinished games. Try something new if you are feeling stale and don't just hand over 60 dollars for game with no appeal nor direction. Divisions End game is just going to end up as the same road as Destiny.

I was bored way before level 30..

This is probably the last Ubisoft game I'll ever buy. Been burned by them way too many times and it seems all their games have the same vital flaws.

-Ikon-3341d ago

yup after watchdogs, rainbow six and this fuck ubisoft.. NEVER again and I mean it.. their games have shit replay value, extremely casualized, and lacking soul

DontShoot-Me-Bro3341d ago

Same, I was burned by them on Rainbow Six Siege, although a good game, it has too many bugs, exploits, etc exactly like The Division

Nti19833341d ago

Actually on rainbow six right now all problems fixed and is the best ubisoft game but the division is completely broken and unplayable.. I sold it and return back to 2,5 years old battlefield 4..

xander707693341d ago

If only there was an offline mode...but no. Here is a forced multiplayer online only game, with glitches and rampant cheating. Gaming industry, take note.

NautilusXIII3341d ago

There is always something wrong with this game from what I've seen and heard. I saw on reddit a post about the community manager getting killed by a hacker on twitch or something.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno805d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic805d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman805d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon804d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
