Please remaster them all! I'm collecting ps4 games and I'd love to have the whole souls collection!!!

sk8ofmnd3351d ago

Yeah, if they ever make demon souls 2 its almost a definate they will remaster 1. Im kind of suprised dark souls 1 hasnt gotten a remaster. Arguably the fan favorite in the series. Dark souls 3 was good, i just dont see myself playing through it as many times as i did the first.

Im willing to bet hes working on bloodborn 2.

Movefasta19933351d ago

How is bloodborne 2 a new ip?

PurpHerbison3351d ago

They don't want to touch the engine Dark Souls 1 was on and they definitely won't remake the game from scratch on a newer engine.

starchild3350d ago

It's a new IP, so can't be Bloodborne.

I'd love to see From Software do a game set in a mystical Feudal Japan. I've been playing the Ni-Oh demo and it's actually pretty damn good, but I'd love to see From Software do something similar. Actually, I would love to see them do a Ninja themed game like Tenchu. That would be my dream game.

naruga3350d ago (Edited 3350d ago )

while i ultra like Dem Souls(not so much DaSouls 1) ..i want to see a new IP from him..NeoGaf rumors says he s working on an exclusive PS4 JRPG ( Souls-Bloodbone could be considered JRPG but probably wont be such agame)

Alexious3351d ago

No more remasters, please. Let him make a new game for a change.

Perjoss3351d ago

This person gets it. Demon's Souls is still the great game people remember it to be and its not hard to grab a PS3 if for some strange reason you sold your old one.

Forn3351d ago

@Perjoss

Yes, but the servers are no longer online 😔

PhucSeeker3351d ago

Remaster doesn't need much of his attention tho. Hell, outsource it to remaster pro like bluepoint.

alvgamin4lif3350d ago

They themselves won't need to do it. They can give it to devs like bluepoint (excellent devs for ports and remasters)

I'm happy he's working on a new IP, otherwise franchise fatigue would be starting to loom over the Souls series

-Foxtrot3350d ago

I'm hoping it's the Souls mechanics with a new twist

Like how Bloodborne had a Gothic theme to it

Maybe a modern day type Souls game or a Sci-Fi one with cyborg Dragons and the like. Viking, Aztec, Egyptian, Victorian, Pirate etc...all a possibility

Samonuske3350d ago

@Starchild, funny you say that since Tenchu was actually made by From Software haha

terrible news. keep making more dark souls!!

sdcard4gb3351d ago

All good must know when to stop.
Or you'll end up with Assassin's Creed.

Ricegum3351d ago

Nah. Another Bloodborne would definitely not go a miss though. Currently smashing the chalice dungeons for my platinum, damn it's difficult.

DarXyde3351d ago

Honestly, earning the platinum for Bloodborne is not as bad as you'd expect. I did it without any online assistance (including PSN or websites). Took me about a month and a half, which is longer than many others, I'd say.

The chalice dungeons, I'd recommend mastering critical attacks. The dungeons DO get pretty bad, but the last boss of the last dungeon (in typical Souls fashion) is a nice reprieve from some of the things you've likely encountered already.

Master critical attacks and I promise it gets much more approachable.

PurpHerbison3351d ago (Edited 3350d ago )

Bloodborne DLC wrapped everything up. BB2 would feel like a forced entry.

Seraphim3351d ago

I'm mixed. I love Souls games but at the same time maybe it's time to move on. I can replay Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and even Dark Souls 3 time and time again though a Remaster of DS would be much appreciated.... DS3 invaders are a bunch of cheap ass punks. I hate to say this but it's almost as if the game is too mainstream, at least in that regard... As disappointing as this is I can appreciate the fact he's moving on and wants to create something new. Who knows, after his next game perhaps he will be ready to step back into the Souls world; or create a new Souls esque IP. Maybe some time away is what we all need. It's obvious time away is what Miyazaki needs. Even Kojima, Igarashi and many other notable creators/producers have wanted time away from their fan favorite franchises to work on something new. The same old gets just that, old, and change is good. My only hope is that at some point a new entry or Souls esque game is created again.

DarXyde3351d ago

Sounds like those invaders are giving you trouble. My advice to you is to use a great shield/poison weapon combo (but try to keep burden low). Approach them with your shield up and they often assume you're defensive. Next, figure out if they're parry proficient. If so, choose your swings carefully. If not, be aggressive. Go Bloodborne on them until they're poisoned. Follow them closely and, eventually, they'll run away to try healing. run after them and deliver the final blow before that.

I've got a pretty great battle record against invaders doing that in all of the Souls games, with some adjustments made accordingly. Of course, I also have great means of dealing with distance fighters (magic or arrows). Once you get into the groove of it, you're pretty much just punishing people for trying to rustle your jimmies.

PROTECT THIS HOUSE

sdcard4gb3351d ago

Godspeed, Miyazaki, you glorious bastard !!!

Alexious3351d ago

I'd love if they made a new Otogi game. It would be a good change for them in terms of pace and setting.

I might get one in a couple years but I’m in no hurry. Nothing at launch I want to play.

PRIMORDUS16m ago

If there are no shortages then why can't we just easily order a Switch 2 online, from Best Buy, Target, Newegg, Amazon etc. No shortages means we can get it by any means, online or in store.

shinXseijuro2h ago

Maybe there’s shortages in Japan ? But they’re pretty much available lol

shinXseijuro2h ago

But hey saying that creates more hype right !

Ten Years Later - Still Going Strong: Dying Light: Retouched Update Releasing June 26

Hey Survivors! Tymon here, your favorite Dying Light Franchise Director.

It's been an absolutely wild month here at Techland! We're in the thick of what I'm calling the "Summer of Dying Light," delivering updates and big news across all three Dying Light games. Just a few weeks ago, we dropped the first gameplay for Dying Light: The Beast, revealed its release date, and kicked off pre-orders (if you haven't seen it, check out my last dev blog). I'm incredibly proud of what we're building with The Beast - it’s the culmination of more than 10 years of experience in open-world survival horror!

But here's the thing: we never forget where we came from. That's why, this week, we're not just looking forward - we're rolling out significant updates for both the original Dying Light and Dying Light 2: Stay Human. We promised to support our games for a long time, and we're committed to continuing that support, right through and beyond the launch of Dying Light: The Beast.
