Wow! It was so bad felt like I was floting, not running. So sick of the run and shoot.
It was that bad I almost wanted to play black ops. I'll stick to last of us, now that's quality.

I spent the whole weekend reading N4G bych an moan about how this beta didnt meet their expectations (quelle grande suprise!). So finally get home last night and DL it.... it was fkn fantastic. Better than I expected, in fact. I had a ton of fun and found myself playing match after match.

I think I'll be buying this game. pure fun.

I agree with you, to an extent.
I wasn't particularly fond of it, but I found that most of the annoyances I had with it could be fixed pretty easily.

Such things like the creation of a "classic" mode, where people start with basic weapons, and other weapons are found on the map.

They could pull an Unreal/Quake, and use gravity and speed modifiers for individual matches.

The core gameplay is pretty good. The shooting felt responsive, though guns need to be tweaked.

There are probably a dozen or so small things that could be fixed to make this a better experience. But like this guy in the video said, it's not that it's bad (certainly not deserving of the torch and pitchfork mentality on steam user reviews) but it's not particularly memorable, either. Just an average experience.

I also thought it was fun but I don't think I will be purchasing it. FPS games are very much behind me but I'll always remember the golden years with games such as Quake and CS.

I mean, if you've got it in your head that FPS are behind you then its not like you would buy it anyways. Personally FPS' are my favorite genre so I always appreciate something fresh. DOOM just feels right to me.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
