"Today, Bethesda and iD Software released the Open Beta of their latest reboot in the DOOM franchise, DOOM. This latest DOOM is supposed to be the next coming in video games, and judging by the visuals, you’d be hard-pressed to argue that a decent amount of effort wasn’t put into the game. Thanks to how heavily marketed this game is (we seriously have advertisements in train stations near where I live for this game), it’s hard not to have heavy expectations for the title going into it. Even more, as a Quake3/Live player for a large portion of my life, it was hard not to expect a game that would live up to the advertising, especially in the multiplayer department where this Open Beta was doing its showcase." - Attack On Gaming
Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
The video game industry is already so creative, but one thing that can be improved is its handling of space.
After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.
It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.
The iconic demon-slaying shooter just got a corporate makeover—perfect for pretending to work!
I've played it, meh, feels like Unreal Tournament set in Hell. Sure there's differences here and there but the over all feel of it is pretty identical.
Oh well, I always played Doom for the single player anyways so hopefully that will be good.
Eff, I'd love to be home right now playing..
Stuck at work.. can't wait to give it a test drive..

Has a Quake feeling to it which is no bad thing
Can't even play it, I just get a blue screen
just played the open beta, I still think Unreal Tournament Alpha is better overall especially weapons feedback. I hope DOOM will offer a good campaign experience because the multiplayer feels a bit behind the competition.
