Photo mode... prepare for a horde of beautiful U4 picks.

Abriael3360d ago

It's gonna dominate the #PS4Share hashtag for while for sure.

Good job Abriael but Damn ND really put a lot of work into this game. The fact that conversations resume where you left off is really cool and I'm glad to know that the yellow markers around enemies can be turned off. Great job ND. Really looking forward to this game.

TwoForce3359d ago

@christocolus It is true. Nowdays, these game have like that. When your character move some sections and dialogue stop even it not fully complete yet. So i'm glad ND put this a little bit extra. One thing is that I noticed, you can rope swing while you driving a jeep. Sorry for my bad English.

^Who's Abriel? Don't you hate it when you try to be a smartass and it backfires? lol

The photo mode is a huge deal. That alone is something some will get hours of enjoyment from, which just adds to the value of the game.

We saw this with DriveClub in particular. I still don't understand why they didn't bother with a photo mode for Quantum Break - it may have helped to squeeze out some needed value.

The details in this article are among the reasons that Naughty Dog stand head and shoulders above almost ANY other developer out there. Their attention to detail is awesome and they create a world you believe in and feel transported to.

>>Genuine<< thanks Abriael, for bringing this info blowout to the Uncharted fans' attention. ;^)

Photo Mode was one of my biggest wants. My phone, tablet, MacBook, and PC backgrounds will be littered with shots from this game.

Captain_Mushroom3359d ago

@ArmchairAnalyst: lmao, spot-on, mate. I always enjoy those two-bit, sensationalist titles. They're pretty good at raising egos of suckers.

Im going to photomode the crap out of this game. Im going to photomode its brains out.

Ezz20133359d ago (Edited 3359d ago )

You gonna photomode it soo hard that it will rain Uncharted babies :P

starchild3359d ago (Edited 3359d ago )

That's awesome. I love photo modes in games. Especially graphically beautiful games like this.

I also really appreciate that all Naughty Dog's games this generation and last don't have persistent HUD elements. Those things are dangerous for plasmas and OLED TVs since they can lead to burn-in. I wish more games were like that.

Reckless_Love3359d ago

I cannot agree enough with this.

I remember putting in MGS4 and it coming up with a warning about how long term static images in the game could become permanent burn in on Plasma displays. Yet All they needed was a simple HUD transparency option.

I wish all games came with an option for transparent HUD as for me it helps immerse me more in the game.

I miss my Plasma's motion handling and perfect screen uniformity, but I sure don't miss having to nurse the set and rarely ever watch letterbox content.

Oh..my...gosh... photo mode!! Yes!! I was not expecting this at all, but am oh so glad they are including it. Had TONS of fun with the one in Infamous:SS, it really allows you to get pretty dang creative with your shots, not to mention just to admire the amazing beauty of the game.

Well played ND, not only is photo mode an awesome option to have for the players, but it's a brilliant way to score some free publicity/advertising as people are going to be sharing and uploading these pics (which most will likely all look incredible and very artistic) all over the net in massive numbers. In general more people will be exposed to the game and drawn into buying it if they were possibly not planning to before. It's a genius move on both ends. Hope this helps set the bar for future games, photo mode = pure win for both the developer and players.

U4 is going to be so insanely popular. Wouldn't surprise me if around 70-80% of all PS4 players get the game on day 1 (after all this is THE game to get this generation). Heck, even if only 50% of the PS4 players buy the game that's still a good 25 million or so copies sold within the first week.

seppo913359d ago

No no no. Don't expect to much buddy, It'll be 15h at most.

15 amazing hours.

ginsunuva3359d ago

Levels being open doesn't make it longer

ginsunuva3359d ago

^^ But then there's fewer of those levels since they're probably harder to make.
