Look closely (full size on the jump). Reader Ian S. found this back-to-college ad for Sears in his local paper.
Welcome to the twilight zone???
First pictures of Bizarro world!
I don't know why but things like this really piss me off. I mean it takes MORE work to have the wrong game on the wrong console. All they need to do is hook up a console and pop in a game and do the damn ad yet they go out of their way to mess things up. It's sad really.
The screen is definitely photoshoped in, something that they do in almost every ad. They probably approved MGS being on the screen because a PS3 is in clear view. It's alright, it's Sears, what would they know? At least we don't see someone standing up doing the racquet swing motion with a wiimote, lol
LOL That's pretty funny.
that picture is hilarious
Sears has no idea what the fvck they are doing. Occam's razor: the simplest explanation is the best.
This is almost as bad as when i see people "TYPE" on a keyboard in an Ad. I grind my teeth everytime.
he is watching a movie with no popcorn. just kidding.. But seriously...does anybody have their playstation 3 and xbox 360 playing so nicely together on a shelf? Hmm, no dorm room I ever lived in allowed me to hang a flat screen on the wall. The speaker placement sucks....not optimized for the best surround sound. Gaming does not get good until you take your shoes off. I usually look at the tv while playing games. Is that really the picture that parents want to see of their college kid? Okay...well I am done........but this is Sears..should we really be shocked?
This kid is playing a video game (regardless to what game it is) when he should be preparing to take his first class. "Gaming Consoles 101". This way he'll know why he's having so much trouble controlling snake.
I think you put a *bit* too much thought into this one. He's using a 360 controller to play MGS4 hahaha. It doesn't really need to go further.
I believe that's why he said "Gaming 101" because Gaming 101 would teach him that you can't use a 360 controller with a PS3. It's funny, but you actually didn't put enough thought into what he was saying.
hahahaha!!!!! Sears......oh lordy.....
that kid has to realize what a poorly made ad this was
hmm Maybe they are just trying to advertise as much as possible? Kinda like what most companies do. Way to blow things out of proportion people.
take it easy hellbringer, they're just having some fun with it. I really don't think anyone is truly taking this all that seriously.
Well, if this is them trying to advertise, then they just lost a lot of serious gaming consumers (like many get games at Sears anyway).
hmm i'm jealous of his room and chair.
haha!! very funny..... Goes to show how much these people know about the stuff they are selling.
somewhere out there in a alternative world, someone is playing MGS4 on the 360 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
That ad gamer could just be playing a MGS4 Trailer DVD (Metal Gear Saga vol 2) you know using his xbox 360 to play DVD videos, so do he need a remote to enable that function?
And they always make me laugh. Thank you.
sears is a 360 fanboy :)
I work for Sears and I tell you the advertising corporate department are a bunch of retards.
How could Sears mess up this bad? I mean nobody paints a f*cking wall like that.
they should add this picture to the article "7 'no wait, that's a dude!? moments" LOL
This is probably how POG plays his '360' and enjoys it so much. I kid POG, I kid... ;)
HAHAHA!!! Seriously, thought, that got me wondering if there is a 360-like controller some third party made for the PS3! I mean, they do make 360 controllers for the PC. Wondering how far one would be able to go without breaking copyright laws. THEN POG would have no other liable excuse.
looks like they just wanted to put both systems up for the retards who would see just one and say "omg they dont have the ps3 for sale? gotta go somwhere else" lol or vice versa.... this is not flamebait
