Gameinformer:
"With the impending release of Bravely Second: End Layer for Nintendo 3DS on April 15, we asked co-producer at Square Enix Masashi Takahashi about the sequel to the 2014 surprise-hit JRPG, Bravely Default. We wanted to find out how the game has changed during localization, what design decisions shaped the game, and where the series will go from here."
Push Square: "We think Octopath Traveler II is a fantastic RPG, and so we were delighted to be given the opportunity to interview two of the game's key developers. Director Keisuke Miyauchi and producer Masashi Takahashi were kind enough to answer our questions about the sequel's improvements, its development, and why the first game isn't available on PlayStation platforms."
Not only first game not available on PlayStation. how come Octopath Traveler II isn't on Xbox when the first game is? Makes no sense that this game came out on PlayStation when the first game isn't. yet not on Xbox while the first game is on Xbox.
KeenGamer: "To prepare for the challenge of the upcoming JRPG, players might wish to practice with games similarly developed by Square Enix before Bravely Default 2. From game mechanics, story and overall tone, here is a list of 5 games that will prepare players for what awaits them."
Bravely Default II developers Tomoya Asano and Masashi Takahashi spoke more about the RPG in a previous issue of Famitsu. The two hinted at possible online functionality, addressed the chances of another demo with save data transfer, and more.
I very much look forward to this game. Should be getting an update soon enough on its release date.
For their last answer to their last question, I don't mind If the Bravely Default series doesn't make it to consoles. World of Final Fantasy looks to be another worthwhile title that feature many elements of past Final Fantasy games such as the return of the classic ATB system, recruitable monster party members, and appearances from various Final Fantasy characters.
I'll just appreciate the Bravely Default series for what it is and what it offers as another throwback to the Final Fantasy games of yesteryear.
