"Namco's 3d "Soul" fighting games have been a staple of my video game playing since the Soul Blade hit the Fun Forest arcade next the the Space Needle. Then when Soul Calibur hit the Sega Dreamcast in 1999 it was the first must own game on Sega little system that could. Even years later after Soul Calibur II hit the PS2, Xbox and GameCube in 2003 my friend BBQ and I kept playing the Dreamcast version of Soul Calibur as a staple of the fighting game when we decided to throw down the video game gauntlet. (If you ask me the GameCube version was the best cause Link was way cooler than Spawn and Heihachi.) Soul Calibur III introduced a while bunch of new fighters and a custom character editor but since the advent of high-definition gaming I awaited to see what a Soul Calibur game would look like on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Finally transcending history and the world in a tale eternally retold Soul Calibur IV is now here."
