The demand for the Oculus Rift remains high. Initial pre-orders significantly outstripped demand, and today the expected arrival date of new orders for the head-mounted display (HMD) has been pushed back to August 2016. Furthermore, new orders placed for the HMD will no longer include CCP Games’ EVE: Valkyrie as standard.
Zombie Army VR is creeping onto VR headsets later this month, and here's everything you need to know about Rebellion's latest.
Morels: Homestead, a relaxing game in which you can create your own unique homestead, is available now for PC VR.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that while F1 23 will support PC VR it will not support PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.
That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.
Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.
But it's EA. They don't think.
A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?
Glad to see the demand is high for Oculus, in spite of the price. It bodes well for the success of VR and that of PSVR as well. I hope that interest remains high from both the customer and developer in the long run though, because without continued support from both sides there is still the possibility for failure of the media format in general. The scenario of initial interest waning over time on new formats and technologies is too significant to simply overlook at this point, in my opinion.
Glad I got eve valkyrie
Good to see there is a big demand!
Good to see demand for VR, with that said I believe psvr will be not only the most successful but will also outsell Oculus entire total on day 1.
They can say they are backdated to August all they want but it means nothing without any preorder numbers.
It could be backdated with only 10k preorders.
It's still a niche product and will not be mainstream till the price is much more reasonable than it is atm.
Maybe 2-3 years VR will be successful but it's not a necessary peripheral especially at the expensive price point it's at now.
The games coming out for VR are pretty lacklustre too. I can't see too many people being impressed with some tech demos.
