When it comes to point and click puzzle games, Artifex Mundi has slowly but surely been churning out their games onto Xbox One. Starting with Nightmares from the Deep and then moving onto Clockwork Tales, which both had quiet but confirmed success, their newest release is Engimatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek. This game sees the point and click genre take a more sinister turn, with murder and kidnapping aplenty, so be prepared for a jump scare or two every now and again.
Neil writes "You probably already know that we are big fans of the work coming out of the Artifex Mundi studio. Well, if you haven't yet delved into the wonderful world of either Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek or Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood then now is the time."
Hidden Object Games often get a bad rap as boring or for kids. Which is unfortunate. But now, are they becoming more like Point 'N' Click games?
S J Hollis writes for Punk and Lizard:" Combining Hidden Objects with conventional puzzles, a strong point and click element and a spooky murder mystery, Enigmatis, to this day, remains one the genre’s strongest titles. Now it’s on PS4 with a Platinum trophy, and it’s still bloody brilliant."
