Hey Poor Player's Mike Vito writes -"Ten years ago to this day, James Rolfe’s The Angry Video Game Nerd YouTube channel smashed through our eardrums with vulgarities that would make even Larry Flint blush, and to celebrate, he has released a brand new Nerd video."
Jakejames Lugo of The Koalition writes: On the tenth episode of TK Spotlight, Senior Editor Jakejames Lugo brings on the Angry Video Game Nerd himself, James Rolfe from Cinemassacre, to talk about gaming, movies, and so much more. The two of them discuss the impact of the AVGN series on internet culture, retro game reviews, and the challenges being an independent film director. PLUS: James talks about his plans for future videos and film projects outside of the Angry Video Game Nerd. This is the episode you definitely don’t want anyone to miss out on!
This was a rather insightful interview and is definitely inspirational for those who may want to start creating content for this industry.
The Nerd Rage Renegades welcome back the Angry Video Game Nerd himself, James Rolfe, to discuss recent AVGN episodes, Monster Madness, the Nintendo Switch and much more.
Indiegogo is one of the first crowdfudning sites, and the Angry Video Game Nerd seemed poised to make the site a dominant force. So what happened?
It's ludicrous to say Indiegogo is on a decline. You have to have had a rise first before you can have a fall.
I still can't agree with James' hate for Simon's Quest. Love that game to death to this day!
10 years? Wow, good for him. I remember watching his videos in college
The reason he's been so darn successful and influential is because he's a filmmaker first and a video game fan second. His choice in camera angles and edits is top notch. Other creators need whole teams to make a series, he's been a one man crew (with a little help here and there) for a decade. What a pro.
I think it's really interesting to look at the path of AVGN versus that of other "angry reviewers" like the Nostalgia Critic. AVGN managed to maintain this certain sense of purity that's really cool.
He introduced me to the wonders of JBL.
