I like this pose better. Now you can see both her butt and her breasts at the same time...both sticking out more than they were in the other pose, just not aimed directly at the camera.

So for once, I thank people like you for making it so I can see more of the female form in a bunch of pixels that wouldn't really excite me either way.

That being said, this is one of the stupidest "victory" poses I've ever seen outside an anime based game. I can't believe Blizzard had it between the other pose, and this one, and now I can see why they originally choose the other one despite being generic and possibly not "in character", because this one is absolutely ridiculous.

As for you, lets break it down why this one is sexier, so you can see how silly your argument is, and to answer the question you posed to onion.

1. Her back is arched. That is a common form of expressing desire and a pretty recognizable form(possibly instinctual) way to attracting a male human.

2. Standing on her toes compresses the muscles in the upper leg, and firms up the thighs and buttocks, while elongating the look of the leg, and since long legs are considered attractive, it gives her more sex appeal. This is one of the reason women wear heels.

3. The raising of the one leg is a way to show desire for another person to approach someone by keeping one's pose open enough to suggest looking at certain aspects of the body, as opposed . It's a form of body language. To understand, think the opposite. When someone has their arms crossed, or a woman has their legs pushed together while sitting down, it means they're probably not interested.

4. Looking over the shoulder more instead of just kind of glancing over with the eyes turned more than the head, is another form of showing desire for one to approach. The larger open mouth smile instead of the more smirkish smile is also in the same vein.

5. Breasts are sticking out more, again, trying to show sex appeal...same vein as arching one's back.

6. Arms to the back instead of the sides is a form of body language which suggest a submissive attitude.

Basically, what it boils down to is that they went from a stance that says, "Don't f*ck with me", to one that says, "Take me".

Good job Blizzard.

I'm sure you'll disagree, but everything I said can be backed up with numerous analysis of people's body language. Half the above are things my fiancee pointed out to me, while she laughed her ass off at how it was actually more sexual than the original.

But hey, at least we can't see her butt crack anymore.

The pose is playful but because people find tracer sexy her doing a playful pose is found sexy, but that doesn't mean the pose itself is meant to be sexual. The previous pose was clearly meant to be sexual, a few characters have the over the shoulder pose but Tracer was sticking her butt out unlike all the other characters.

Seriously....the other one I would never have thought twice about, sexual or otherwise, due to how generic it was and how her feminine lines in it were mostly restrained to the hips on one side sticking out. The only reason the butt was accentuated was the design of the clothing, and the V shaped black stripes that existed on the pants, which drew attention and artificially created the illusion of more there than was actually there. I give even more rundown in a reply to you above.

I remember you saying it was sexual because her hips were sticking out. But this one has more sticking out, butt, breasts, hips, legs, and you don't find it sexual. Is it really just the full backside of the butt which triggers you?

If this was the original pose, the first thing I would think was they were trying to make her look sexy and inviting. It's a playfully sexy pose, and likely does fit her character better, but in no way is this less sexy than the original.

That being said, it's just some characterized artwork which isn't that appealing as it's not even real. It's always down to how they hold themselves and how that instinctually triggers one's thoughts on sexuality that makes it desirable. If this was a picture of a real girl and she looked mostly like that, she'd probably appear attractive. That's how people relate to art, as art is simply a reference to real life, thoughts, or feelings.

Really wish N4G had some sort of survey feature we could attach to articles to see what people think.

Sexiness can't be controlled it's different for each individual but I can say this pose does match her playful character. I feel so many people got caught up in the reactionary atmosphere over this(even I did) but it shows that hey they are still working on the game. I say it's probably more appropriate to the character...although the original was not something I would consider out of character.
