The Division’s Game-Breaking Bug to be Fixed This Week

A while back there had been some gamers who reported that there was a major game-breaking bug in Ubisoft’s latest game, The Division. It turns out that if you craft a high-end backpack in the game, that this will cause you to get locked out of your account. There were enough of these incidents to fill up 129 pages worth of comments on the game’s forum

And this is just getting fixed now.Shame on you Ubisoft. This should have been priority.

ThatOneRiggaNob2994d ago

so they should delay incursion and all the other fixes because others couldn't log into the game because of a bug they have been trying to fix. They even mentioned it on their last stream that they were still working on it.

Not saying anything should be delayed, but you have to remember that there is a small fraction of gamers who have payed good money, stuck in many hours, for a patch to break their game and make it irrelevant unless they want to start over. Not everyone has time on their hands to start from scratch. How many times has the servers been down for maintenance, yet they still have not fixed this.Would you be so quick to reply if you were still waiting for the patch, so you could carry on playing the game you bought and own.Don't think so.

How the hell does the author come up with this week? It's next week. April 12th. 7 days away and 8 from the day the author published the article.

Hey, give the guy some credit. It's hard to read a calendar...

I'm very curious as to what the problem was. Also wondering if the patch fixes Police Academy

Perjoss2994d ago

The backpack bug was related to overflow of items. your guns can hold well over 10 mods inside them, and then your gear can also hold mods, when you remove all these they overflow your backpack if there wasn't enough space for them. Its pretty bad too as it locks you out of your account, I dont even think you can create an alt character to play in the meantime.

So crafting a backpack is bugged as hell. Its recommended to put as much stuff away in your stash as possible before trying to make a high end backpack, or just wait until they fix it just to be safe. I'm still rolling with a crappy backpack just because I don't want to risk being locked out of my account :D

shammgod2994d ago

good to know...i have been avoiding crafting a backpack, but i always keep my bag pretty much as empty as i can get it.

brokenbracket2993d ago

Sort of.... in the State of the Game on their Twitch channel they stated that they're hoping the fix works but are not 100% certain. They'll need to see how a larger selection of players' accounts react to the fix.

INMATEofARKHAM2993d ago

Well, I hope for those affected by this thar it does indeed work... I know some have been locked out for 3 weeks now.

brokenbracket2993d ago

Yeah I hope so too man. I feel really bad for them right now. Most of them probably paid $100 for the game, and haven't been able to play it for weeks.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno434d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic434d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman434d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
