Nintendo Brought Back the Red Logo

No more bleak grey and white from the Wii era. Nintendo returns to its old red.

In my opinion the console should be red or have red features...an optional one maybe. Least then it will stand out more

Will be nice to see Blue box art for Sony, Green for Microsoft and Red for Nintendo instead of seeing Nintendo use light blue.

Skate-AK2979d ago

I liked the color scheme of the red Wii Mini although I would have never bought one.

Paytaa2979d ago

So basically going to the store and buying a game is like re-enacting the Mass Effect 3 ending

* Can't wait for E3. Going to be awesome this year. Glad Nintendo is bringing the red back.

I think a full red console would be too bright, at least in my media setup. I'd go for some kind of red light (similar to the PS4's blue light stripe thing) though.

@ ROObot

Only the Logo is RED .

you right a red console wouldn't work out.

rainslacker2978d ago

Sony's red is pretty bright based on the controller, although it is a nice shade of red and I brought one.:) The MGSV red was kind of a dark crimson, and it was really nice. But I love those darker shades of red myself.

Black is usually my preferred color for the entertainment system though.

The purest and best form of marketing...Let everyone know you are serious about your company. They're sticking to their guns and using the original logo as a sort of way to say that Nintendo is coming back reborn, and stronger than ever.

Excellent and simple Business/Marketing move. Love it. Gets the consumers hyped just from something so simple before any actual info is revealed!

donnieboy2979d ago

Making way for the NX! E3 will definitely be exciting.

If they bring back the old "Get N or Get Out!" slogan on top of this, my inner fanboy is going to have a seizure.XD

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory2979d ago

That Slogan is the best one they had.

rjason122979d ago

Id rather them bring back "now you're playing with power"

wonderfulmonkeyman2979d ago

That one could work too, but they'd need to bring out a sufficiently powerful console in order for people to take it seriously.
Otherwise it could have the opposite effect.

"Get N or Get Out" feels like the safer option of the two, though I do like both.

Take-Two Is Quietly Killing Private Division

In recent weeks, reports have surfaced that Take-Two is shuttering Kerbal Space Program 2 developer Intercept Games and OlliOlli World developer Roll7. Now, IGN has learned that not only are these closures imminent, but they are a part of a larger move by Take-Two to either sell off or shut down the entirety of its indie label, Private Division.

Inverno11h ago

Jesus. The AAA space is gonna implode on itself. We went from "indie is the future" to shutting down devs who make smaller budget games to make way for games that take 7 years to develop and blow through half a billion bucks with almost nothing to show for it.

badboyz0910h ago

You guys act all upset but don't buy the games. I bet none of you bought RollerDROME!

qalpha7h ago

I bought 'No Rest for the Wicked', which is published by Private Division, so it does concern me about its future.
