Doom Beta Multiplayer impressions for this arcade style shooter where players battle it out in the pits of Hell on Mars. While the beta is limited in content it shows a very well done fast paced shooter.
How do composers make the iconic music tracks from games that we love? And just what makes them so memorable?
Have you ever looked at a modern first-person shooter and wondered "How did we get here?" Wealth of Geeks performs a deep dive into the genre, including some of the most influential games, from the very first FPS from the cross-genre experiences that changed the game entirely.
BLG writes, "There are many fantastic and iconic weapons in game history, but some are significantly more memorable than others. When we think of iconic game weapons, these are the top 20 that come to mind."
You forgot one and it's a doozy. The weapon is kindness in undertale. :) defeats countless enemies.
I've been playing over the weekend, it's a blood fueled adrenaline rush to say the least. A modern take of a throw-back to old school FPS shooters. The gameplay itself is superb (takes a couple matches to get used to since it's not the A-typical modern bro shooter), but really what game doesn't? Customization is great, lots of variation, appears they won't be gouging money from your wallet. A taunt that is $5 in a different game is a free unlock in this game. Doom is going to be a day 1 purchase for me. And as always, stop pre-ordering game!
At first I watched a live stream and found the announcers voice massively annoying. Played the beta and didn't even notice him. All I wanted to do was shoot stuff, be the Revenant and get a glory kill. Achieved all that and totally liked the MP.
