So, About Those PlayStation Plus Games…

Many people subscribe to Sony’s service for the monthly games alone. They are well within their rights to post that they feel underwhelmed with the next offering.

Whatever.. it is what it is. Some months are going to be fantastic, others, not so much.

I am done worrying about it. If I get some good games, great.

Aloy-Boyfriend3354d ago

This has been my attitude for a while already. I'm glad that PSN has improved so much since the PS4 came

KentBenMei3353d ago (Edited 3353d ago )

No. No months are going to be fantastic, especially not for Vita-only subscribers. Pure, unadulterated garbage.

@UnwanteDreamz: Because I had a couple years stacked back when PS+ was great for Vita. Gravity Rush, Uncharted, Tales from Space, and such were all great. Now...Invizimals PSP...I'll never forget that spit to my face.

PS+ has fell hard across all consoles but none like Vita. It was so good at first, it was treated the best to lure us in...but now it gets it the worst.

UnwanteDreamz3353d ago

If I was Vita only, no way I'd pay for plus. Why are you throwing your money away?

Seriously I love plus but I have got lots of games across 3 different systems PS3, Vita, PS4.

Why pay for it if all you are doing is handheld gaming? I don't see the value even for MP.

blackblades3353d ago

Screw you, I got around to playing some backlog from ps+ and I can tell you I enjoyed stream world, nova-111 given to vita from ps+. I'm tired of dumb fools like you who probably never even picked up a game on ps+ but only take a glance at it and dis it.

DLB233354d ago (Edited 3354d ago )

I've been a PlayStation guy since day one. As a pro Sony guy, I'm very disappointed with the lackluster games we get each month. It's not worth the Ps Plus price tag. I feel Sony is getting lazy since they're the king of the Jungle this generation. Here is a list of games that should of been released already:

1. Killzone Shadow Fall
2. InFamous Second Son
3. Knack
4. Bloodborne
5. The Last of Us remastered

Aloy-Boyfriend3354d ago (Edited 3354d ago )

I already have those games on dics each. So should I complain that Sony is giving games I already have?

"It's not worth the Ps Plus price tag."

I guess gAAAmers don't know what they are paying for anymore. You are paying for Online, not to download old games AAA or not

Like 2 years ago I felt like @neonrir above^. Sony was giving games I already have or don't care. There was no point waiting for montlhy old games when I can pretty much go and buy for cheap what I want to play. They surprised me with Dishonored, tho that game bored me to death.

I mean I'm not saying you can't demand better, but the people who say PS+ is not wortt it because Sony isn't giving the games they want are reaching it...

PS,
I would like them to give The Last of Us just so it brings more potential new players to the MP and give it more life. I'm still playing it and love it

2pacalypsenow3354d ago

People buy Ps+ to play online the free games are a bonus, last gen was another story

crazychris41243353d ago

We shouldn't be paying for multiplayer in the first place.

Lon3wolf3353d ago

I keep getting shot down for saying the same thing, last gen you paid for the games this gen the online functions, the games are a bonus PSN is now the same as Live in that respect now.

Hoffmann3353d ago

Why didnt you buy any of these games if you are such a big sony fan?

And seriously..a game thats just a year old?

wheresmymonkey3353d ago

I already own, and have completed all of those games. Why would i want to pay for a service that gives me games I already own and have played before.

Orr. I suppose we could get brand new games each month that i probably wouldn't have played otherwise. you know, actual new experiences.

This month we're getting a brand new shooter from guys that worked on Metroid Prime ffs. How is this lazy. they're securing brand new exclusive content every month.

"I've been a PlayStation guy since day one. As a pro Sony guy"

LOLOLOLOL!!!!! I literally died reading that. Sure buddy, i'm sure your comment history shows that :\

So you want them to give you the highest rated ps4 game that only came out a year ago and just received it's first dlc about 3 months ago?

CorndogBurglar3353d ago

3 months ago is very generous. I think the first real expansion pack came out just last month for Bloodborne. I could be wrong though.

Either way, your comment is still dead on lol.

CorndogBurglar3353d ago

Lol. There was a time for Xbox owners when you paid for the online and got no free games at all.

I know Sony had free online last year but it was awful. It has been much better this gen since they are now charging for it.

Not worth the price tag? You're paying for the ability to play games online. Without PS+ most games can't be played online. The free games are a bonus. Not to mention, like the games or not, they are still more expensive than your monthly fee.

The thought that people seem to think they are paying for free games is kind of funny to me. Just look at how dumb that sounds. PAYING. FOR. FREE. GAMES. lol.

DMZ_P3353d ago

Bloodborne... sure... how entitled are you ?

It's not bad, could be better. Dead star looks fun to me, and the Vita games Shitsumi and a virus named Tom too (I was like blegh when it first got announced as I never heard of them but actually looking into them they do look fun). Zombi is not for me but hopefully it starts a trend of bringing more retail games to plus

nitus103353d ago

In Australia we have not got the April's release yet.

Hopefully tomorrow, after-all we are approximately 15 and 18 hours ahead of you.

Still I got PS+ for games with an on-line component (ie. Bloodborne and eventually Dark Soules 2 and 3)) and the free games, whether I like them or not are a bonus.

Personally I have never been that interested in on-line games and especially on-line only although I may give them a go if I consider them good value for money. So far none have peaked my interest.

pompombrum3353d ago

I think Sony really do need to throw in some AAA games every once in a while. As stated in the article, it's obvious that there are a ton of people unhappy at the quality of the PS Plus games.. now many of them are good but younger players in particular probably have zero interest in playing side scrollers that look inspired by the 8/16 bit era.

As someone above has mentioned though, many of us already have the AAA games and if they do add them, people will inevitably complain about already having it but would it really be so bad for older MP games like Killzone and The Last of Us? Even if you have the game already, the population boost could breathe new life into some of these games and in the case of Killzone, potentially even make them extra money with DLC sales like the insurgent class.

nitus103353d ago

Personalty I classify any game that I like as a AAA game and others that I don't like as rubbish. I am quite sure the majority of people here are like that as well.

Normally if there is a game that I like I will buy it providing my to do list is not queued up which it is at the moment.

Even if I am not that keen on the PS+ game offerings I sometimes give them a go and on occasion may actually enjoy the game. If I did not enjoy the game I have not lost any money.

At least with PS+ if you are into digital downloads you can get discounts which can work out at a reasonable cost saving over buying the game on BluRay. Buy a few PS+ discounted games and you can actually save money which makes your PS+ membership basically free and you still can get discounts.

PhoenixUp3353d ago

I would like to see Sony practice having an equal balance of both AAA and indie games offered on PS+ to please everyone.

Rookie_Monster3353d ago (Edited 3353d ago )

Same here.

My perfect plan for Sony with PS Plus for PS4 owners is 2 indie games per month and alternate between a AAA game and a PS2 emulated title every month as a 3rd title per month as well. That way they could please the Indies crowd, the AAA game crowd, and also the nostalgic crowd that love old PS2 classics.

that sux. this is a great MP game.

GamingonPC3153d ago

Yup, and a real bummer for people who bought the game on PC instead of getting it from PS+, as it doesn't have a real single player mode.

yeahokwhatever3153d ago

outstanding devs, unfortunately I didn't really enjoy this title a much as I thought I would going into it. I hope their next project has more success.

MilkMan3153d ago

I wanted a strong SP, I deleted this as soon as I realized there was none.

blackblades3153d ago
