Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty for PS4, PS Vita getting limited run physical release

Oddworld Inhabitants is teaming up with Limited Run Games to release a limited run physical edition of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, the company announced.

The physical edition will include a disc for PlayStation 4 and cart for PS Vita. (Basically, it’s not a box with a download code.)

The PlayStation 4 version of the physical edition will be pre-patched and include the game’s post-launch downloadable content.

A pre-order start date has not been announced.

This is pretty cool. I have these series on pretty much every console and I am a huge nerd for Oddworld. I cannot wait for SOULTORM next year, being Exoddus was my favorite game of all time (even though I count both originals as one long story)

Yea I might get this because I love the Oddworld series

They should have waited for the eventual exoddus remake and launch both in a single disc (like capcom did for both resi remakes).

That's a steal for Munch's Odyssey and Stranger's Wrath alone. Not a fan of the other games in the series, but I know some people really enjoy them.

Review - Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty! (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Heidi Hawes: "All Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty! managed to do was frustrate me. However, it did make me appreciate the controls in Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee more. Honestly, if you’re new to the franchise, it might even be better to just skip ahead to Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. At least those gameplay mechanics feel like something more from this era. That being said, if you’re a die hard fan of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee or perhaps just a glutton for punishment, then perhaps try your luck with Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty!."

Well, no it is not. It's a mediocre remake of a classic. The original PS1 game is a 10/10 masterpiece. As a raging nerd on this series, the game is okay at best. I'd give it a 7.5/10 personally.
