I consider myself to be a fan of mobile gaming. I feel like the limitations of app development drives creativity, and it’s simplicity allows anybody to develop a game. This can be both a good thing, and in the case of idle game developers, a very bad thing.
Firstly I would like to define an Idle game as one that has most if not all of the following:
Push Square: "It was only a matter of time before "clickers" started to infect the PlayStation 4, wasn't it? The popular genre – which is defined by its simple gameplay and constantly increasing numbers – is already a smash on computers and smartphones, and now AdVenture Capitalist is aiming to bring a little of the love to Sony's new-gen system. One day in, and we're already hooked."
Hyper Hippo's AdVenture Capitalist is addicting. One writer attempts, and fails, to figure out why.
P&L write: "August looks like another busy month so we take a look at what’s hitting the PlayStation Store next week."
