Two years and tons of hard work from Mexican indie developer, Fat Panda Games gives us the gorgeous platformer, Flat Kingdom.
Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition will release on April 1st. The title comes from Ratalaika Games and Fat Panda Games.
Flat Kingdom reminded me a lot of Super Paper Mario (the one on the Wii) and most of that feeling comes from the game’s art. You see the story of Flat Kingdom is about the chaotic relationship between the 3D world and the 2D one and the graphics reflect that theme by having 2D sprites move around of a Semi-3D backgrounds.
Hey Poor Player's Jonathan Trussler writes: "You’ve got to love a platformer that advertises its lack of a third dimension right in the title. Flat Kingdom is an unashamed 2D platformer that proudly boasts its straightforwardness. The plot is even about a princess of a fantasy kingdom being kidnapped, and some magic crystals being stolen – which would’ve been standard storyline fare back in the eighties. The protagonist of the tale – if anything – further reinforces Flat Kingdom’s unpretentiousness: it’s a little grey creature called Flat, who is capable of transforming into a circle, a triangle or a square. Don’t expect any labored monologues about a painful backstory from our hero!"
This looks so pretty! Definitely on my Play List!
Flat Kingdom sounds like a lolicon game lol
