Still really hoping this gets a port to pc these guys made guacamelee and i really want to play this game too. However i don't want to buy a vita just to do so hopefully this does well enough that they may think about porting it to pc.

nodim2953d ago

sounds like you actually do want to buy a vita

eldingo2953d ago

Afraid not already bought a 3ds getting a vita just for this one game is not a really good idea money wise but I do really like the games drinkbox studio makes and i'm really hoping this gets a port to pc eventually.

nodim2952d ago

@eldingo "for one game" is the worst excuse people try to come up with lol

eldingo2951d ago

I know this sounds mind blowing for you but just because this games an exclusive does not mean i want a vita just to play it.

i meant what i said i honestly don't care that the games only available on the vita it didn't make me want a vita which will put me back over a hundred dollars.

What im about to suggest may be hard for you to process but what if the game being available and playable on pc since its not rocket science to do so.

Stick with me here and that this was good for the game and for the people who want to play the game and not pay over a hundred dollars to buy a handheld they passed over for something else like a 3ds mind blowing i know but what if that option existed eventually how bad could that possibly be and why is having that option detrimental to anyone at all.

nodim2951d ago (Edited 2951d ago )

@eldingo I'm not saying I don't understand you, I'm saying you are wrong. Buy a vita or stop port-begging while hilariously implying that vita has no games is pretty much my point.

eldingo2949d ago (Edited 2949d ago )

Explain how the game being available on more than one platform is a wrong thing for me to be thinking because that's an answer i would like to see.

Also sharing an opinion on a game hoping that it gets ported is not port begging its called having an opinion something on the internet that anybody can have.

Also I never implyed the vita had no games if you looked at my response to protagonist below i said the reason i got the 3ds over the vita and why i dont want to buy the vita for this one game which is the only game on the vita i actually know about and want.
The vita did not have the kind of games i wanted while the 3ds did its that simple i'm not made of money so i picked the one that suited me best its that simple because ya know buying games costs money.

Also after looking through my short comment history we had a similar argument about 100 days ago on this very same game and after looking through that again i can already see where this is headed.

"one game" ?

The Vita got more than 500 games... with lots of exclusives

If you can´t find more than one game to play on the Vita... well....

And If if you can´t understand that the Vita need exclusives like this... well...

eldingo2951d ago

I don't like exclusives in general and in case i had not already made it clear the handheld i bought that had most of the games i wanted to buy is the 3ds.

Believe it or not i looked at the games available to both the vita and and the 3ds was the only handheld years ago that had the games i wanted.

I know this is probably hard to process for you but getting the vita just for this game is something so expensive for little payoff i am not going to even entertain the thought.

oh and a game being available to more people on different platforms for more people to enjoy is not what i consider a bad thing it gives people more options on how to play it and more places the game can sell.

It's a lonely but fun place - Top 10 PlayStation Games Stranded on Vita Island

"When PlayStation Vita released in 2012, expectations were high as Sony's previous handheld (PSP) was quite successful even if it could never quite match with Nintendo's handheld juggernauts." - Tyler Hall from Video Chums

Soul Sacrifice seriously needs another entry.

I would have added Killzone Mercenaries to the list. Overall, good list.

Lexreborn22020d ago

It’s not stranded until 2019, if people really wanted to get some great experiences out the way then they’d buy it. But there are so many stubborn people that made their mind up that won’t happen.

You can go on eBay, OfferUp it any social market place and get one from 70-120 WITH memory card and the games are dirt cheap. But I bet people feel like buying their 5th 3DS for 200 plus because of its color is better then checking out great games.

I guess it’s not always about the games

execution172020d ago

I could just never find one after I got a stable income, could find games all over the place though

rainslacker2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

Quite a few of the games aren't dirt cheap. Guess it depends on what you like though. The Japanese anime games tend to hold their value quite well.

One can get digital games pretty cheap a lot of the time, and if they were smart, they'd have added all those vita games on PS+ over the years, and have quite an impressive backlog when they get their system.

Severed - Switch Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

DrinkBox Studios is one of my favorite smaller development teams. They have a knack for merging cool gameplay mechanics with bright, colorful visuals that I happily spend hours with at a time. Severed is no different - in fact it may be their best overall effort yet. While it is true that this title has seen some prior releases, it plays better on the Switch than any of its prior platforms.
