It is real as far as it's physical creation but real in the sense that it being Nintendo's is still yet to be determined.

There are no resemblances to any previous controller design in this one, and Nintendo usually has something that is a giveaway in their designs.

Could be a really neat 3rd party designed unit but let's just wait for the official reveal from Nintendo themselves.

At first, people were trying to discredit the image saying, "it wasn't clear enough" etc. Now, a couple of more pictures get released and its changed to the "let's wait and see what this thing is capable of." You guys need to make up your minds.

There's a big risk in the wait see approach because by the time they officially announce this thing, it'll be too late.

I see your reasoning now. But there is still now evidence for this isn't fake or if it's real if this is the final designe or it can be changed. But if they can change it (again if it's real) they should change it (BEFORE I didn't thought about that it could be changed, but I had a disscusion about it with someone and he brought this up).

well not only was the first image horribly cropped and suspect, but now the unit is an entirely different colour. See how this can be confusing and the legitimacy can be questioned?

"...but real in the sense that it being Nintendo's is still yet to be determined. "

Agree, but we know for sure the are two different colors also (the first photo leaked the device was white.) There is a big chance that this is legit, IMO.

It is fake If anyone believes Nintendo will come out with a controller with no buttons they are not to bright. Nintendo is on a mission to take back the Console Market or to at least join Sony at the top.

superchiller2994d ago

That "mission" failed many years ago, the Nintendo of today is just struggling to remain relevant in the gaming industry. And they are not going to make it if this leaked device is what the NX will be.

xfiles20992994d ago

It is Fake they are not going to release a controller without buttons

iplay1up22993d ago

It looks like it may not be comfortable too!?! Of coarse that is what non Wii U owners say about the gamepad, and the gamepad is very comfortable.

I will wait and see, I think in April, at the shareholders meeting NX will be officially announced. Then E3 we will see a Nintendornado of info!

Ck1x2994d ago

I really hope that Nintendo uses the "Get N or Get out" marketing phrase! Even if the NX controller doesn't look like this but has some of the functionality, I like it because it's bold and trying to push gaming somewhere...

No doubt the NX will be compatible with many plain controllers, but something like this (hopefully with grips though) looks like it can bring a new element to gaming.

I don't hate it. It's not what I was expecting or hoping for, but it could be an interesting idea. I guess we'll see.

OoglyBoogly2994d ago

My only thing with this are the dramatic changes that can happen before release. Yes, this looks final but that doesn't mean anything. Remember the prototype slider PS Vita's? Those looked pretty damn good as well.

So yeah, hopefully this public bashing they're getting will make them rethink this whole completely ergonomic failure of a controller.

s8anicslayer2994d ago

Looks like a controller for my 4K smart tv.

I like the look of this thing!
