Resident Evil 20th anniversary video interview: Hiroyuki Kobayashi

Capcom has released the first in a series of developer interviews celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Resident Evil series. The first Resident Evil launched 20 years ago today, on March 22, 1996.

The first video features producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. The videos that follow will feature commentary from some of the other team members who have played a vital role in developing the Resident Evil brand into what it has become today.

Capcom says it will have anniversary celebrations for Resident Evil continuing “over the next year” and that “the team is already hard at work to deliver some amazing new surprises.”

The story is too old to be commented.

will this franchise ever shine again and get into its former glory?

I am very hopeful about Resident Evil 7 honestly. I think they understand that they need to return to a more horror focused game for there next installment. I really want them to be influenced by RE 1-4 and also add some new and creative things.

ohh man why i have the feeling that Kobayashi really destroyed the series ?? he started with Resi 4 which i consider the worst most un-resident evil and from then on it was a downfall..if they want at least to redeem themselves, release NEW RE 4-5-6 as completely differents games like the old ones
