The reason why you didn't see anything incredible is because you need to get your eyes checked and you are a bias 360 fanboy who need to get his head out of his a$$. We both know if this game was on the 360 would be all over it so get over yourself and stop being a fanboy and give credit where it is due. Its coming along nicely, looking more like a futuristic Call of Duty the more i see it, and with the Multiplayer looking promising as well i think this will go down well. I can see the single player being really short I.E COD 4, but if the MP is up to scratch i will buy this and not just rent it.

Cannot believe this is still Pre-Beta, when the end product comes out this should be really polished although at the moment it stands up easily to some of the best looking games on the PS3. Roll on February 09 and the Beta (which will hopefully be in europe as well)

Can someone please enlighten be about the durability of the single-player campaign? Cuz i find it hard to believe that its going to be as short as cod 4! i Mean these guys have been working with this game for 3 years and if i remember it right, one of the developer stated that one level takes about 2 gigabyte of space..so i mean it cant be that short?

And one more thing..graphically..how much of the row power of the cell has been utilized in this game? 40 %

But Most of it is comprised of the graphics/details etc. The Devs did say it takes about an average 1hr a lvl and most games have about 10 lvls so I say it be a solid lengthy game.

Each level is not 2 gigs, that was a mis-interpretation. The length varies per level, but each is 45+ minutes.

The shadows, lighting and blood at around 8 min 30 sec when he comes right up close to the first helghast is incredible, and the animation when he shoots the crouching helghast in the face with the revolver (helghast gets flung backwards, arms flailing and firing gun involuntarily) is so satisfying.

I seemed a little to easy for my taste. He was just sitting there picking off there legs. then he never ran out of ammo. But i know the setting were like cause of the demo.

All in all its good. I love the since of war and how the battle doesnt seem to stop.

There are only a handful of games that are in this club which combines all that I just mentioned. Crysis is one of them, along with killzone2.

2d motion blur as seen in Unreal Engine titles is just a gimick to hide the lack of detail in character models and environments. Thats up there with the overly used 'bloom' that early generation games were plagued with.

The games 3d camera blurs depending on how fast you are moving, like Crysis. Objects also have their own motion blur, to where its more realistic.

Trying to knock object motion blur + volumetrics is like knocking realtime reflections, or soft shadows, or any other great feature that brings gaming 1 step further. Games without the power to pull this off are going to get left behind and end up all looking like last gen games.

Agree, agree, and agree. The various lens flare effects I've seen so far in the videos look like they took a million bucks to develop, just themselves. The various discrete layers of atmospheric haze & particles in this latest vid are jaw-dropping. The flames almost made my plasma screen melt.

this game looks to be coming around! as for halo, i wish you people would stop talking about it. after halo 2 they should of stoped making them. ok i get it already, same concept over and over again. killzone will be something different to look forward to i just hope they dont play it out like like all these other shooters.

Sure it looks good, but i'm not getting my hopes up yet, been crushed too many times. Gameplay is key here, the shooting has to feel right.
Interesting that building structures were similar to Killzone, if you take away the sky background you might as well be playing on the same planet as the 1st game.
Lastly, notice when using the tank it wasn't possible to obliterate towers(?) the helghast were shooting from. I wish it was possible to collapse the whole building and then see the debris fall onto other helghast(sp?) soldiers, who are on the ground, or damage a enemy tank.
