In a rather surprising move, NIS America recently announced the western localization of the visual novel Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness by 5pb. Today, you can see some gameplay thanks to a livestream by Sony.

I find it interesting that in he interview they stated that Danganronpa and Zero Escape have had a big impact on visual novel popularity. I played Virtue's Last Reward and Danganronpa on a whim and they blew me away. Now I've gotten through Steins; Gate and am nearly finished with Code Realize, and I can finally see how good this genre can be if executed right.
I'm hoping Steins; Gate Zero, Root Letter and others come over to the west, and hopefully with a physical Vita edition. Handhelds are simply the best for visual novels. :)
The former Xbox One exclusive Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will finally release in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita on the 24th, and 5pb. released three new trailers to further introduce the game and its characters.
Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will release in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita on March 24th, and this fall will launch in the west for PS4, PS Vita and PC.
In order to celebrate the impending launch on PlayStation Consoles, 5pb. released a two-part trailer introducing the game.
