NE: "In some ways, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is like a full sequel to Mutant Mudds. Certainly, there are many improved elements: secrets have been added, the settings are new, and bosses make a noteworthy appearance. Yet in other ways, the game is more like a glorified DLC pack: there are no new enemies, abilities or obstacles. This is the original Mutant Mudds through and through, just with a new set of levels and the difficulty ratcheted up to eleven.
I love it."
Atooi has announced that the Mutant Mudds Collection launches on Nintendo Switch on December 14, 2017 on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99 / £10.99 / €12.99.
Mutant Mudds: Super Challenge is a retro-style action-platformer developed
by Renegade Kid. I haven’t had a chance to play the previous Mutant Mudd
game, so keep that in mind. The story, as well as most other features of
the game, is fairly minimal. Players play as Max and Max receives special
intel, revealing the location of the original meteor impact site and the
fact that mutant mudds are still being spawned from it. Max sets out from a
secret hideout in the jungle to locate the meteor and destroy it for good.
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is a very competent 2D platformer, but if fails to differentiate itself from many retro-style side-scrollers like it.
