The Division: Creating an Effective Solo Build

Is it possible to play The Division alone? Of Course. Most players leveled through the story alone, nipped about the Dark Zone alone, and can do some endgame activities alone. Just because The Division is a quasi-MMO doesn't mean those living the single-player lifestyle have to play by The Man's rules. While many missions on challenging mode may be shut off to the lone hunter who doesn't want to have to deal with people, many hard mode missions are completely doable to a party of one. For those looking to take on The Division's endgame on their own, consider these tips when crafting an effective solo build.

"It is worth noting that the Support Station will go down when you do, so having the revive mod on it is not worth it."

I use the Support Station with revive and it does indeed revive me when I go down.

I accidently learned that today.

This, when I get surrounded, I put down support station.

Die, revive, run XD

Ballistic Shield + Turret, 'nuff said.

Pick em' off with an M44/SRS and right when you get pushed, engage both abilities simultaneously. Ultimate defense, especially with a Sawnoff.

Been playing it exclusively as a solo game and its a solid 9 from me. Love everything about it from the combat, weapons, sound design and music to the excellent environment and interesting enemy factions. Its always online though even if you never do the pvp or coop.

I've just hit level 25 having played only solo, and it is good. Though it seems to be getting harder now at the higher levels. I'm finding I might die 2 or 3 times on the harder missions whereas before (<level 20) I rarely ever died.

But I haven't really paid much attention to which perks I use and I never use consumables (except med kits), and I don't buy/craft weapons or mods, I only use what I find. So I'm not taking advantage of everything that is available.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno799d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
