Review by Brad L.
Oh boy, did I go into this with high expectations! Especially after the excellent first two seasons of The Walking Dead impressed with an engaging narrative and deep, relatable characters. The Walking Dead: Michonne feels like a cheap cash-in, a way to whet the appetites of fans while they await the more-than-likely release of Season 3.
Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more with the PlayStation Store Update.
Michonne is one of the more interesting characters to grace The Walking Dead and no, not just because she’s the chick with the sword. Her back story is one of personal tragedy and the first episode of Telltale’s latest miniseries shows us this in much more detail. As with the first two game seasons, The Walking Dead: Michonne takes place within the confines of the graphic novel’s universe rather than that of the TV show. Specifically taking place between issues 126 and 139 during which our titular character leaves Rick Grimes and his group.
Sirus Gaming: Ultimately, the first two episodes of the series was a really great ride for me. Only one more episode to go, and that’s another great game on my “things to recommend to other people to play because it’s gold and is just simply great”.
