The Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco March 14-16 will serve up the worldwide premiere of the latest Paranormal Activity horror. But after six films earning over $889 million at the global box office since 2009, the next chapter in the found footage horror genre is available exclusively in virtual reality.
Set in the 17th century, Bootstrap Island is a roguelike virtual reality game currently in development by VR game developer Maru VR.
Paramount Pictures’ upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and Xbox is serving up a totally righteous gamers’ welcome for the fearless foursome. I can't help but think people don't understand just how much of PT's brilliance was down to the artistry of the two brilliant directors behind it and not due to some kind of simple repeatable formula.
These types of games are what will make VR shine IMO. I love that horror is making a comeback.
